Can be also Black Friday or Halloween. Or tied with some kind of narrative campaign, which in good CB fashion will be announced very little in advance.
I would like to remind everybody as it has been stated in the videos many times things are subject to change.
As long as the troops allow for Rule of Cool in appearance and .303 on the table, any change can be accommodated.
Issuing a plea here in hopes that it’ll be heard. While I love the new Mk.2 Squalo and its rule set I beg for the life of the old one. The miniature for the Mk.1 can disappear if so necessary but please do keep its profile alive in the army builder.
tbh, i don´t know how impactful this will be. I sounds very good, with BS13, infiltration, mimetism, high MOV and SJ, but it´s also a unit starting in the midfield, which is an oddly dangerouse place for a non-marker instant-dead 1W fella. I think, depending on the amount of DTWs this guy can either be a Rambo-like horror to the enemy or a frightened piece of wet toilettepaper to scared to take a look around the corner. As @Triumph mentioned: the big deal is, that Brando is already in handshake-distance to the enemy and equipt with a marker state and NWI. Whilest Spiders are closer to the enemy but still have to use their many legs to walk up to them, the monkey-boy is already there and dodges everything unpleasent in its way. BUT: This. This unit screams midfield-control to me. In a harris you can peak around a corner and give the targets that option to either get B3 DTW with continouse dmg (which is scary for nearly every unit there is) OR 3 Impact templates throwen on a wooping high PH (on the one loadout) OR getting assault pistoled 5 times. 8 inches is the sweet spot for this unit and no one wants to stand in there. Beeing okayish in CC is fine, but the real threat is the close range weaponry. This new squalo realy looks nice. The profile is nothing too special, but fun enough to give it a run. The modell design is what i like, and hopefully the sculpt will live up to that.
Totally agree, it looks really nice. I’m quite pleased to have it alongside my Uhlans and Tikbalang for S6. I just want the S7 “MK1” profile to stay too. It’s a solid profile especially for Varuna and I’d be upset to see it go. Having both MK1 and 2 available would be… tasty.
It has been a long time for me, but I recall CB stating Haqqislam was going to get a new Muyib box. However, the last model on the schedule was the hero blister and we just got her. Sooo CB released one new Muyib and checked out?! :< I hope I’m wrong, because I really like the new bulkier Muyibs.
Last Gen Con they said Muyib and Myrmidon boxes were planned to be the next regular releases once all the C1 releases were done (I. E. after the hero blisters). So probably October/November if that is still the plan.
They might not be homogenous boxes, good chance they mix in one or two others like some of the recent "Fireteam" boxes. I wouldn't be surprised to see an Officer and/or Thorakitai with heavy weapon in the Myrmidong box. A new Govad and/or Lasiq wouldn't be a surprise in the Muyib box either IMO.
It seems there is no more "rules" about the boxes, be it about the content or the amount of miniatures. After three boxes of mix, Morats received a box of 4 Hungries, then 4 Daturazi, then 3 Rodoks and now they have another mixed one.
There's an advert for Last Chance bundles at 40% off, and as with the Spiral, it's probably going to be discontinued permanently. These were the September exits, but have been rescheduled from 01/09 to 20/08. They're weeding out so much, it's kinda scary. And it's from so many different factions and such random boxes that it seems to me that they're just culling everything that doesn't sell well enough.
Just talked about this with a fellow player, togehter with some unconventional combinations of Modells in some boxes. Aren´t Govads and Minutemen units that are quite solid in their respective sectorial? I mean, i can see that they discontinuou boxes that don´t sell well, but is this the case with this one?
Both Govads and Minutemen are meh so they probably didn't sell. CB's fix for MI transitioning from n3 to n4 did almost nothing.
The models are quite cool themselves. So if it really didn't sell, it is because Medium Infantries that are not discounted thanks to frenzy/impetous need to have a look over?
All of this randomness with discontinuation makes me feel uncomfortable. I also wonder, how easy it is for a new or returning player to build an army and to do it with as less proxies as possible... I don’t think, that it is possible without them for now. (The answer is “it is not easy for sure...”) Would it be something stable in my life? :’)
A new player has a plethora of options for all supported sectorials as well as the C1 line, a returning player may, depending on the sectorial in question, have minor issues that can go to mild issues of not proxying.
