Or bring Mirage 5 in with a couple of Apaches to provide smoke for them all!

Looking forward to the Haqqislam reinforcement box, but I noticed there was no date range associated with it. I am hoping it will be out in the fall like the PanO and Yu Jing ones (October-November).

I'm assuming that the Reinforcements are taking the place of C1 releases over the next year or so, the PanO one seemed much more complete with art and dossiers for all the new units, while Haqq and Ariadna were missing their new units in the video.

One thing I noticed in the video is how Hawwas and Hakims can be fireteamed, which is interesting given that right now they cannot be fireteamed due to skills they have (parachutist for the Hakim, Infil+Camo for the Hawwa). I also noticed the concept art for the Sekban has a Red Fury, which is not a profile that exists right now.

I'm guessing the reinforcements profiles for the Hawwas and Hakims are gonna be FTO profiles and that one of the Sekban reinforcements profiles will have Red Fury, but will these profiles be available outside of reinforcements as well? Having an FTO Hakim in Ramah sounds pretty neat.

I was also wondering if those things I noticed implies that those units are going to receive updated profiles in general.

Yup, that al'Hawwa linkability got me out of my boots, too.

As for Sekban, they are a troop (and models - so far) from the late N2 / C:P era. If memory serves me, Red Fury didn't existed back then, and even Spitfire was a relatively new thing (N2:HS). So that's likely to be a part fo the QK's update.

I'm also pretty amazed to see Azra'il in REF edition, because their usual profiles (HMG & Feuerbach) aren't well suited for REF forward deployment at all IMO. They are fine as long-range gunfighters, but if you can deploy up to the midfield and in the 2nd / 3rd turn, you'll need to be ready for close-range fighting. Back in the day (N2) a 3rd Azra'il loadout existed, carrying an AP Rifle, LFT and Panzerfaust...

I do hope it's a proper update ala what they showed for the Moblots and not just slapping on a Red Fury profile. QK and Sekbans could use some help imho.

I'm cautious though. I really wish they would have taken the chance and did something more for the Loup-Garous as well. But I'll stay optimistic that Sekban and Djanbazan will get something.

I got to say it's haunting. Neoterra troops Aa reinforcements for PanO, now QK for Haqq both sectorials i liked and was happy i did not get into because their troops were OOP. Now both will come back. I am unsure if i should be happy or scared.

But goddamn, what is with this spam of NBW lately (Since TAGraid) This skill is stupid and should be on very few outstanding Individuals but it keeps getting put on troopers having no buisiness beeing a natural born warrior...
Each and every profile with this rule makes me wonder why MA is so expensive when NBW seems to be quite cheap and is used to make very strong profiles to completely shut MA off. Just compare MA levels and incorporate NBW into it. A MA2 trooper can't use MA against an MA3 troope, the MA3 can use MA1 against a MA2 trooper. Just my honest opinion.

As Reinforcements, the current stats and skills for Sekban seem fine. BS 13, ARM 3, 360 Visor, and NCO seem great on a drop troop. But I would definitely not turn it down if they got a little more juice.

As for the Korsans, I am assuming the chain rifle profile is going to get tuned down, especially since that model is not going to be in the original release. The release model should be fun as I love the idea of burst 3 grenades in a link team.

Or give NBW levels like MA. NBW lvl1 shuts down MA1, but not MA2, and so on. I agree, the way it's handled right now is pretty bad.

Can someone explain to me how that profile is able to be so cheap in general? Compare it to the Apaches, who get to their points cost through the (laughable) Frenzy discount. How is it possible that something like this doesn't have Frenzy or Impetuous and still costs only 14-18 points?

While I'm not sold on higher MA levels acting as NBW against lower ones, I fully agree that NBW proliferation is getting ridiculous, and it's hurting MA troops in general. Given that getting into CC is a risky and order-intensive tactic in the first place, it shouldn't get countered so easily.

I'm also not a fan of ever increasing number of troops with NWI and Shock Immunity. This combination should be reserved for light HIs and very few exceptional units. Even with the amount of Shock flying around, there's a place in the game for units with only NWI. As it is, it hurts the balancing options, and also makes actual HIs look worse in comparison; level of protection is same or marginally better, but with a big drawback of being hackable. At the very least units that have 2W or NWI+SI shouldn't sport ARM as high as HI.

I agree about NBW. There's now too many. I was so excited at first or the new Hwarang but they are equalled by the 14pt Korsan. Sure it's just a Shock CCW but that's find against a lot of troops.

I'm really not seeing the balance concerns with the Korsan?

B3 Chain Rifle is cool, but 1W, no stealth and no smoke means it's not a super exceptional offensive piece. I can imagine you might be able to pull off some very cool plays thanks to it's mobility (6-2 and C+ is v neat), but you can just literally ARO dodge and have a ~50% of not getting hit at all vs the Chain Rifle.

It's CC skills are cool but it's not some apex CC monster like a Nahab or UFK. Nor can it really use it's CC offensively that well in the way something like a Morlock can because it's working with a Heavy Pistol for it's CCW, and has no MA for increased crit chance.

It's not like we haven't seen cheaper and more powerful offensive warbands - even in Haqq, Just look at Zuleyka, Zamira or even base Kums.

I'm more worried about the Apache but it's all about the price and how they seem to be handing out NBW like candy.

I actually just want them to get rid of Martial Arts and just start going with things like CC (+3/-3), +1 CCW Damage, etc.

It is the burst strike capability. But it is interesting that if you compare it Kaitok, the pricing seems more reasonable.

Killian's reaction was completely compressive. You can deploy a 6-2 MOV, Climbing Plus and 4 Chains piece in the middle of the table for 14 points. And since it's a selling period, it's a regular order with Natural Warrior with CC-3 to eliminate CC specialists costing between 25-45 points.

Well, I think CB is not testing their star game thoroughly if this is a fan's first reaction.

consider that in turn 2, you can deploy the Korsan near your problem, the oponent cant do anything about his placing, and you can sacrifice 14 points vs a high value specialist or a chunk of models like haris or even a core with burst 3 chain rifle
