Of course, it's unused, what are you a madman ? It's obvious PanO is not using PanO weaponary!

    Huh. Must have missed that.

    *google*

Ah, yeah, the Keisotsu dossier on page 73 didn't load for me, had to do a google image search to see it. Kinda makes sense that it's an actual military weapon that isn't made in Japan. The other stuff is all basic small arms (yes, even the spitfire), you can make even an AR15 just about anywhere (you need about 265 used beer cans for the lower, but you really do need to use better-quality aluminum in the upper since it's under more stress). And you can make an AK out of a shovel in your garage. The more 'sophisticated' stuff with stamped steel parts can be made at a factory that used to make auto body panels. See also the list of everyone who buys the Swedish Carl Gustav recoilless rifle (which includes the US!)...

You are aware that you're explaining that to the person who posted the Chasseqt mockups in the first place?

There is more than ML from PanO. Shock MMR has a PanO shape too. I think that the MULTI MMR is from PanO too (even if we don't have the illustration of it).

As a minor note, but we now have a planet-locked nation on Earth represented as a playable faction, albeit in a round-about fashion, this sort of raises the question regarding the remaining nations that have not been properly attributed to either of the major powers and their corresponding aspirations to join the upper echelons of Sphere politics.

No we don't. We've already seen bits of text regarding JSA operations on minor planets in Human Edge or whatever the outer fringe is called, so they're hardly planet-locked.

Well, the home islands are on Earth, but I wouldn't be surprised if Free Japan had assets in various systems.

In the same sense that Haqq are planet locked (i.e. relying on others to ferry them around)

Japan also seems to have a space fleet of some sort (the corporate fleets of Japanese corps who joined the secession? Or maybe JSA had its own air and space support) and stations in various systems, like Kurage (near Dawn?). But its a good place to start, since if you want an army in Infinity based on a minor nation, Japan is really the ideal example, not a major player but having both Earth territory and space assets with potential to operate across the Sphere.

I don't see it as part of the CB master plan for years, if it happens at all, but you've got lots of good possibilities that can fit well into the NA2 framework: on the one hand 'cobbling' from existing profiles, the best example being once we have the Kazaks and Tunguska, there is a base of units from which, with some mercenaries and a few extra models, could quickly get an Earth-Russian sectorial of some sort. We know the Russians definitely have a space presence in Sol, with fuel mining around Jupiter, a springboard for ambitions in the wider Sphere.

The other as a way to let designers and sculptors explore new space not part of the aesthetic for existing factions, while letting those doing the rules also try out different things and add new units with a far narrower scope for balancing it all. a possible example here, Nigeria's ascendance has been noted in the background, so them seeking to move beyond Earth seems a given, Nigerian mining and shipping companies will have space assets f nothing else. While they're far different things, Black Panther has now spread a lot of imagery of Wakanda, a high-tech African power, and CB does love a chance to make a pop culture reference ^_^.

I would buy a not-Wakanda faction so fast...

i'd like to see a lot of other NA2.
for example, i find difficult to believe that the whole "venusian aero-city" doesn't have a police/paramilitary organization.
    or the jovian colonies...
    i want that.

Aren’t Qapu Khalqi the ones ferrying everyone around? I was pretty sure the “Silk Road... desert solitude of space trade routes” were a major focus of Haqq...

QK control caravansaries and trading routes all over the sphere, and they have their own fleet IIRC, though like everyone else they're reliant on the Circulars for inter-system travel.

The only faction so far that lacks it's own space force is Ariadna, though they're rather good at catching lifts (Especially those sneaky Galicians.)

I actually don't know. All I hear from forum members is that Yu Jing and Pan-O are the only ones capable of moving their stuff around while everyone else relies on O-12/Aleph to move them between systems.

We really need a marketing team. Who is allowing journalists on a warzone anyway? And why are we making official press releases about mass murder and ethnic cleansing?

Good thing is, the Party will be able to blame the IS for this when it all goes to hell. Then we will have no sectorials! Only vanilla! No more Sectorial-ism, only Commun-ism!

Take that you vanilla haters, vanilla is the only true way of playing Infinity!
