I saw on the networks that Corvus Belli had uploaded a pdf of classified mission cards for the ITS. Download section: https://infinitytheuniverse.com/resources/infinity Direct link to the English version: https://downloads.corvusbelli.com/infinity/organized-play/classified-deck-en.pdf If you see it in physical format on the CB store, as for the previous one, we don't recommend you to buy it, because the rules changing often from one season to another on some cards, there is a risk of expiration and in the end you will have to print a correction.
If this happends tell us, because the deck is out of stock. Would be great to have some extra units xDDD sad :( We need your support :P It was valid during more of 3 or 4 years xD
A suggestion: What about having the ITS classified cards available for PDF download with all the updates and changes that are required but having as well a premiun version of such cards for sell. Not only featuring amazing artwork, and maybe having a premium quality material. But also including just the minimun description of the classified to allow more art to be shown and to feel less clutter. For example, the "Predator" premium classified objective can have just a simple "Kill people in Close Combat" text in it, and to know more about the classified you could always check the latest version of the ITS classified rules / pdf to be downloaded I would personally purchase such premium version of the classifieds.
I would like a premium version ofc! But if you have to do a double check, one in the card and other on a PDF to know what to do, in my opinion would be a little bit annoying. don't you think so?
Indeed. I'd wonder, too, how these downloadable ones are intended to be used. Cut, glue together (front and cover)? Will it be still enough to withstand shuffling? I mean, I do own a deck (N3-era one, I think) of ITS cards, and it holds just fine. Not like I'm eager to throw it away, go to a print shop to print myself a set of new ones, glue them ,cut them, and then fuy myself a set of card sleeves (and then a box to hold that stuff...). But it seems that's what I'll have to do.
I have a third-party set that's just printed one-sided on cheap paper - I stick them in standard card game sleeves with opaque backsides, then they shuffle OK too.
I'm disappointed that there's a download but not changes to them. To me these need to be updated and changed every once in a while to keep them fresh. Like the special rules for ITS itself.
The deck is out of stock almost everywhere. It's just a way to make new players able to play without resorting to third party work.
The classified deck is out of stock, and in a few months we will start the new season. That's the reason we realase the PDF version. To help to that new players who comes to Infinity and don't have the change to get one. This situation wasn't expected, that's why we didn't update it, we don't have a spot in our work schedule to do it, but we thought it was better to give this change, instead of waiting to the start of the new season without an option to have the deck for tournaments. As you want. You can print it in normal papel and use an opaque card sleevs. I dont' believe it would be necessary to glue them, using the N3 as a base and the slevees would be enough. Its just a reference to know with classified you have to accomplish.
At this moment I have to already double check the ITS 14 PDF document to see the actual current text of several of them, and I find it not a problem. I think that the ideal system is one which the actual item used to randomize which classifieds you get is located in one place, and the full in-depth rules texts of such classifieds is located in another place. This would allow to actually change the classifieds contents each ITS season, not only to clarify rules, but also to tweak the objectives for game balance or to spice things up. Since the rules/content change is located in a non-permanent format, the ITS PDF, or in an APP such as the Army, the randomize item can be a premium version of the classifieds where you only have the name of the classifieds and the type of troop that have to perform it, which can even be represented by an icon instead of text. One example. The Mapping Classified Objective is currently a FO or a hacker who has to succeed a short skill WIP roll touching an scenery item completely inside the enemy's Deployment Zone. The premium card of it features the name: "Mapping", and the icons of who can perform it "FO/Hacker", along an amazing full art. But in a future ITS season it is decided that Mapping can be achieved not by suceeding a short skill WIP roll touching an scenery item completely inside the enemy's Deployment Zone by a FO or a hacker, as for "balance reasons" has be changed to for example just spending a short skill touching an scenery without any roll involved. Or for "spicy it out", has be changed to be achieved by ending the game touching an scenery item completely inside the enemey's Deployment Zone. Thanks to the decoupling of the randomizer item (the card) and the rules (the PDF/APP), this can now be done without having people feel bad of having their purchased decks be obsolete, and allowing the game to evolve and change.
Although since we are talking about this, even now your current PDF of the cards available for download has the outdated text. For example, the predator card in the deck card pdf stills says that coup de grace is not allowed, but everyone playing the current ITS 14 season knows that this is not the case as the ITS 14 Rules PDF says otherwise. This discrepancy would be solved if the actual card has no rules text on it!
