And what if hakim (as "helper" as I understand him) will have both doctor (hopefuly at least +) and engenier skill (or even on one profile combined)... RTF needs both for its superheavy arsenal
True, but it is at least a hint at how CB thinks of these things. Hekim and Hakim come from the same root, right? But another HI will likely bring its own Doctor Plus with it for any link, making the idea of a Hafza like link filler unlikely. A cheaper Akbar than the Janissary seems great, but how will it not immediately make the Ghulam Doctor Plus obsolete? A stronger ability and weapon options would make the Hakim almost an automatic choice for any list with HI or Tarik.
Linkability. In vanilla it would probably replace the Ghulam Doc+ but in armies like HB and QK it will not be available, and even if it was available in Ramah I doubt I would take it over a linkable doc+. If it could take the place of a HI Linkable Doc+ I would deffinitly take it to cheapen the link team.
If it has Aerial Deployment for 20pts, and it's a Doctor Plus or Akbar Doctor, with an engineer profile... I can see it coexisting with the Ghulams, specially if it's a 19-20 pts troop.
Not if you're in HD, and there are two reasons why: G: Servant: Deployment G: Servant troopers will be deployed at the same time their Doctor/Engineer is deployed as if they were a single trooper. The player must identify which trooper each G: Servant trooper is linked to during deployment. They cannot be used by any other trooper. If the servant doesn't have an identified trooper, it can't be deployed. There are no rules about linking G: Servants later in the game, so you can't come out of HD or AD and then have it become the model's servant.
there is a difference between HD and AD. Note the first effect of HD : The Hidden Deployment state is a special form of deployment that allows the user to deploy during the Deployment Phase but place neither model nor Marker on the battlefield. Note how you are allowed to deploy during the Deployment Phase, so yes, the model is deployed, along with the servant at the same time/phase. Compare with first effect of AD: You may choose not to deploy your AD troopers during the Deployment Phase, keeping them off the game table until you decide to deploy them during your Active Turn. Note you chose to not deploy until you decide to later deploy them during the Active Turn. In that case the servant would also need to deploy during that active turn. edit: well, i guess maybe the inability to identified a HD trooper means you can't deploy the servant along, unless you reduce yourself to TO marker state instead for HD. it didn't occur to me before now.
Correct, good clarification. The servant's trooper is not identified, so it's not assigned to anyone, so it still doesn't work.
I would definitely pick this guy in Bahram even as a solo piece, as my Ghilim are always limited by the fireteam they support.
I probably would as well, but I doubt he will be available to HB. Anyway, when can we expect this guy to be announced?
Id have that guy rather earlier than later, but I think he will only be announced after RTF has arrived. Usually CB brings a big reveal and afterwards the rest, right?
The big cons usually see te releases for next two months, so that's where I'm coming from. Hakim should be released before Ramah itself, as a kind of a "prelude" to the sectorial, though.
