And to be honest I wouldn't have recognized this pose if it was on any other trooper e.g. an USARF hardcase posing like this with a machete and a rifle. But a Moira in this paricular setting? 100% match!

Oh and I forgot to mention the background in my previous post: oversized robe clad statues, another element that evokes parallels to this certain gothic sci fi genre

In terms of lexical and appearance, we can already look for clues:
Cenobite = A cenobite is a monk who lives in community, so we could think about people who play in fireteam.
Penitent Observant = it's someone who made a crap and who makes penitence, so it could be a kind of diablo for Bakounin, something expendable.
Orphan = a priori it's english term, no idea except her support role.

And it also used to look like this in the previous, metal version :)

 

If Cenobites are Tanko levels of cheap, an all-HI (or even mostly-HI) build for Bakunin at 300 points might be viable. Awesome.

 

1986. Who's the more derivative?

 

Do we know if there are more new sculpts planned beyond this box or is it all speculation? Definitely want these (although I do think I prefer the old style) but it's always been the weirder stuff that appeals to me about Bakunin so may have to get some if they're going to disappear and not be replaced

I still think you guys are trying too hard with the 40k comparisons.

I am curious about the Cenobites. Definetely look like cheap warband HI that we've seen a few times, and so far most of these are beyond busted (Kaitok, I'm looking at you). If these ladies are merely impetuous with two chanrifles for 16-20 points they'll already be good. Anything else on top of that is gravvy.

IF (and that's a big IF) Riot Grrls stay, Bakunin will be able to field lots of cheap HI models, which will be kinda hilarious but awesome. But again, thats an IF the size of the main ship nacelle
