No way. Regular one looks like some shy and insecure kid. The artwork = confident pro (I'm not taking about suit desing, I'm referring more to a pose and stature)
To be honest, I like the "tactical scatter terrain piece" she is standig on (even if it makes not much sense (she has to reach something up there?) nor it helps playability). But yes pose-wise this is a triple fail: First pose is boring and - despite the fact that CB want to make an exception from the typical hacker-fingers - looks not a bit of a super-hacker, more of a corner-guard (which weapon should I use - I have two here...). Second pose is dynamic, shows clearly that she is a hacker but ... Her new artwork shows how she should be made in the first attempt - this it, nails it, cool, confident, super-hacker! Agree! Yes. If they not get the idea to make things different this year it will be: Army Pack, Dire Foes, lim.ed. mini (even its Tunguska ...).
She'll be available at Conventions first (Adepticon, Gen Con, Freak Wars, Interplanetario, Essen) and then available online on Black Friday, like the Shikami last year.
I quite like the new version of Maria Problematica, a definite improvement over the older sculpt, Yes, I will agree the artwork has its own charm, but I will point out even the artwork has tactical rocks.
CB has a recurrent set of poses, we have been mentioning it for ages. At first it could be explained by dollies ("skeletons" used as base for the putty), but with 3D sculpting that is not needed.
sorry for the weebing, but this artwork is DOPE. First glance i saw it without reference and i thought its the new Custodier design (which i would hate, cause Custodiers need their Masks/Helmets), but as a Mary Problems Artwork it is A-FREAKIN-MAZING. I am a little bit very much sad that this isnt the actual modell, but i also think maybe its beter that way, cause i don´t know if it would transfer this amazing artwork into a figure. It seems to work a lot with the angle she is drawen. Nevertheless i think it would have been worth the shot.
