Hi, After a long time some new stuff. Here i tried to do gold nmm for the first time, and bigger freehands. I am really pleased how it turned Out. My latest Shikami, in comparison to my first one and first JSA Mini from 2018(i guess). Hope you like them.
Thank you, glad you like it. Thanks, took me some time to finish but it was a nice painting experience. Thank you once again for your nmm guide on your zondnautica motor, it helped me a lot to paint Kuroshi.
Thank you very much. Nice to hear that you like them. The scheme is "inspired" by the official one, only with one or two different colours (like almost all my stuff). It works really well, at least for me (i am not very creative).
@Oni Both minis look great but the Shasvastii take the cake in colors and basing. Though both models fit their themes very well.
Thank you for your kind words. The painting scheme of the Seed Soldier is basically the invertet version of the Shasvastii of Archangeleong. It came out nicely but i have room to improve with the black armor, most of all at the speed of painting. What inspired the colour scheme of the Druze Lady was the Idea of, as a mercenary you probably make good money but wont get old. Which reminded me of the Landsknecht Söldner of the 30 years war, who spend most of their money on fancy and flashy armors, weapons and other accessiores because they knew they wont live long enough to use it otherwise or even retire. Therefore the gold plating seemed fitting. Btw. she lacks a proper base, i would really appreciate if you have an Idea for that.
I do remember seeing his paint job. That why your paint scheme caught my eye since you two are the only ones I've noticed painting Shas in those colors.
Sounds like a perfect explaination. Some mercenaries throughout history would have that same mindset & try to live or buy their best life now. Or in the future of the Human Sphere perhaps invest in reliable cube backup so a doppelganger of themselves will live on.
He is a huge inspiration for me. I just really Like his style. As i got my wildfire Shasvastii i tried a purple/black paint scheme and failed, so the minis of that pack got studio red in the end. Then as he posted his Defiance i saw that the paint scheme is awesome, and i tried to accomplish a variety of his work. And i really like the result, thanks to him.
I believe you have succeeded in your goals. Maybe even surpassed it but only you can truly know that.
Hi, got time to paint a little bit. The next Difiance enemys. If i keep up the pace i could be ready in around four years . Wanted to try to use oil washes, which didnt worked as i wanted to. Well, you will see the ugly Duck of the gang. And a group shot. Ready to bring terror to the filthy Humans.
Not only the colour scheme is inspired by you. You are one of the main reasons i try to improve my painting skills. Without your encouragement and literal help i would never even tried more complex techniques as nmm or freehands. Thank you.
@Oni I really love the color scheme you used for the Taigha and their bases. The neon grass is another great touch to the scenery.
Hi, got time for some JSA. Yojimbo caused me some grey hair. My first kitbash. I am super happy how he turned out. And Nakadei as an alternative Oniwaban.
