That would take, you know, actual work done on something Defiance-related. We can't have that here. Could not since 2019, apparently.
This conversation reminded me about the story of the faq for N3 and the comic from bromadpropaganda on the same theme. Spoiler: Bromadheart
Revenant - Mission 1, Console 2 inputs. Input 1: "At the end of this Round check if there are Units that Respawn or have a Replacement value" What is that supposed to mean? Okay, I checked. Then what?
The FAQ update 1.6 for Infinity Defiance is now available: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/corvusbelli/infinity-defiance/posts/3721185 https://downloads.corvusbelli.com/infinity-defiance/defiance-faqs-1-6-en.pdf Thank you for your patience and understanding and sorry for the delay on this.
Wait, it's not about Loot == Equipment. Heres a pic what it says in 7.Check equipment: It clearly says "Loot cards can also be stored in Defiance". Do you mean that whole entry should be replaced?
Not that it matters, but... "Changes" are called "Switches", and "Sequels" are called "Consequences". Just sayin.
So… As someone who was waiting for the game to be pretty much playable out of the box, I have to ask: has anyone try playing since the FAQ got released? Does it work without too much guessing or house-ruling?
Well, It's been 1,5 years and that long-awaited update was rather... miniscule. I think you'd be better off just starting playing and getting to know the rules on the way. At this rate there won't be any FAQs that cover everything. Overall the game IS playable in a current state. Some aspects might halt your progress and you'll just make something up instead of digging through the rules to keep up the pace - you'll just need 2-3 people that know the rules and played before to streamline the expierince.
I have a quick question regarding Fat Yuan Yuan's character card. On the card it says "Juggernaut, when performing the Attack actions, you gain 1 Movement Point." What does that actually mean? Does his movement gain a permanent point until the end of the mission, or just for one round? Or Does it mean that Fat Yuan Yuan can move 1 square when attacking? My group finally finished the core, and probably would move onto the expansion soon, and this one confused me a lot.
It doesn't change movement characteristic. It should work in a similar manner to a Move action (you spend action - get 5 movement points, you can do it again and get another 5 points) - you make an attack - you gain 1 movement point. At the end on the round all unspent points discarded. I'll admit, "when performing the Attack actions" might sound unclear. Should have used "after declaring attack" or "after resolution of attack". Otherwise it sounds like you can declare attack - get 1 movement point - move - do the attack. But you already performing an attack and Movement Points may be spent before or after performing any other action (p. 12 Rulebook). Attack action description implies that "Attack" uses equipped weapon, so grenades shouldn't give free points.
This may already be answered somewhere, or I misunderstood something in the rules, but where do you find the intel pack cost for minotaur engines?? I know they need to be purchased to minimize the consequences of the jump later, but can't find that cost.
