We have a list of 03/2023 OOP, so we might have an idea of the March releases or future C1 Packs: https://store.corvusbelli.com/en/wargames/infinity/last-chance Available until to 03/01/2023* : * indicative date, the pages of the website do not indicate a date, I extrapolated according to the previous dates - Nagas (Hacker) - Asuras (Hacker) - Garuda Tactbots (Boarding Shotgun) - Hassassin Áyyār (Viral Pistols) - Hunzakuts
Has anything been said about the releases of models for kosmo and nomads? Patchers/Lobo's etc? Been ages since their release and nothing seems to be on the radar unless I've missed something??
Looks like they're starting to crank them out now the C1 releases are done. 'Flot have got the Chernobog, Scots Guard, Wardriver, and have an Alpha pack coming in February. Corregidor got the Gator, Morans, Fireteam pack with Evader and Wildcats, and Tomcat in Feb.
Ariadna aside - yes Gator is a new troop in corregidor - already awaits primer on my desk (but has its issues in the building process). The fireteam pack has two resculpts (necessary but one more or less unattractive compared to the originial) and FB Evader is not the baddest choice. In my meta people wonder or hoped to see Lobos and Diabolos instead. Hopefully it will come shortly after this release. I still have Tian Guo and more the Karhu in mind ... 1,5 years after the troop appears together with its sectorial. And then the Tomcats. We got already a new one in the beyond box - the newest loadout and the only one that has no mini. That is fine. But why now a box set? How many Tomcats we usualy use in a list compared to how much we want minis for that new troop types they add with Raveneye? Do I have to understand this ... no
Lobos and Diablos mixed box in March would pretty much tie a bow on the Corregidor update in preparation for Bakunin in April. Tomcat box could be a new style Tomcat Doctor, Carlotta, Moriarty, and a Zondcat.
Good guess. It would make sense SKU wise. I painted Carlotta a couple of month ago. So it realy denpents on how good the look of the new models will be because I have a feeling that I will skip this box. For newcomers it might be a good one but still, I wish they do the new stuff a bit earlier. I don´t like to prox. In the case of Lobos and Diablos I was not tempted to play them though. Lobos look like the bring not much needed stuff to the sectorial.
Carlotta also goes OOP in January, which is what made me think she might be in the box. People have been asking for N3 scale Wildcats for a while, and Tomcats had that weird mix of N1, N2, and N3 style sculpts, so I understand fleshing them out, especially as they already had most of the 3D assets completed from Crimson Stone. Saving the Lobo's and Diablos for last gives them more time to refine the concept and design, like the Karhu which took a long time to come but were really excellent minis when they got here.
- Starter set for Bakunin at Adepticon. - Very ambitious reskin of the faction, with a new logo, the fluff will evolve and the church of the Observance will take more place, becoming the heart of the faction, the church will lead to a process of theocratization of the ship in response to the corruption. The faction thus becomes a sort of nomadic Military Orders (or Battle Sisters, as the Observance is essentially female). - No Battle Pack box this year, we will stay on Operation Blackwind. - New graphic novel to come (gencon). - New fluff book called End of Days (gencon). - There will be a demo of the warcrow wargame at the gencon. - There will be a demo at the adepticon of the Ramper Design game. - Another infinity spin off could be unveiled at the Gencon.
Yeah like Carlos explained in the video (in this thread) they wont to give the sectorials a clear design line. Understandable. But if the Karhu take this long - why even tease the players with the good profile and tone them (through the link rules) down a bit with the release. Damn this could be so tempting to start my third and final Nomad sectorial ... And become a more or less peaceful integrated member of the human sphere ;-)
CB's design pipeline is generally profile > fluff > concept > miniature, but by their own admission the last two steps of that process tend to be a bit chaotic. Though I'd rather this easy around than have useful lynchpin units held back until there's a miniature, especially in a game line Infinity that encourages proxies and conversions. Which is why they've started with the newer release schedules. They sort of did it with MO And fully committed to it with Morats, generally aiming Yu get at least one sculpt out for every troop type within a year. In fact, if Lobos and Diablos do arrive in March they'll have been released within a year of release, so that actually fits in with their new release plans.
Having thought about it a bit, it seems like they're looking to remove the awkward gap between Observance and Moderator sides of the Sectorial, having observance units as overseers/Fireteam members rather than standing apart. From the fluff side, having a liberatarian enclave be co-opted and taken over by religious fruitcakes is pretty on the nose tbh. From what Bostria said during the video it's a project being worked on by a partner rather than in house. It's been in the works for a long while but got thrown off by COVID and the aftermath.
So it seems. Good explanation. I would prefer mini first - then profile. I don´t like proxys (except the one from Aleph ;-). And I avoid to play with them and especially not 1,5 years with a supstitue for a mini, that I not even have a glimpse how it would look like.
So… an interesting time for Nomad players it seems. Very interesting. I’m also quite intrigued by the “end of days”. If the Combined launch a full out assault against the human sphere… eep. Well, I for one welcome our new EI masters. May Death come swiftly to their enemies. For you, the day your liberatarian enclave was conquered by my religious fruitcakes, it was the most important day of your life. For me… it was Tuesday.
Since "End of days" is a religious term and Bostria explained how the Observance reacted to a corruption in their own ranks, the title seems to more likely refer to how the Observance reacts from a belief that they are living in the "end of days" and therefore have to apply drastic measures. At least that's my take.
Yes, this would make more sense than a full combined invasion. The “end of days” being a religious term as you said is likely to reference the upcoming upheaval among the nomads. It’ll be interesting for sure (will at the very least give the nomad player base a potential ton of new minis/resculpts of old ones). I guess I’ll just have to wait for EI Armageddon to turn up another day…
