I saw this in r/InfinityTheGame on Reddit and thought I'd mention it here, as I experienced it myself. New users are getting an error message stating the following: "You have insufficient privileges to post here." This occurs in every subforum. This happened to me when I first signed up, and it only resolved itself after the forum went down for maintenance a little while back. There's no advertised way of contacting an administrator about the issue, either.
I got the same respond after my registration. It took about 2 months, before I received an email and my account was manually activated so I could post normally.
I really should link this thread everytime someone whinges about the community scaring away new players from the forums. New players literally can't get on here lmao.
Disallow links, images, etc for first posts as antispam. Another option is filtering based on content (bonus of such system: it could also classify as "ok - insults - spam"), the forum is big enough to train the algorithm with good data.
that still seems to be an Issue. I've waited around 3 Weeks for my account to be fully activated for the forum.
The same with me. Can't be that you have to contact their support for them to finally wake up and unlock a new user....
Oh, but it can. It took them what, 8 years to fix the issue of people getting constantly autologged out of the Forum? And yes, we're still on the same Xenforo all this time. It'd be hilarious if it wasn't pathetic for a company of this renown and means.
