I was thinking slightly better CC just because of them being "Assault Corps". I think there's should be a Spitfire in there too. I'm also sick of a choice between BSG FO or BSG Tinbot. They should be combined. Something to be taken into consideration is how they were with Zhanying in ISS. Also how the would be in Vanills and Ikari.
Assault doesn't equivocate to 'close combat.' It broadly means to attack. The implication of it being CC specific is more of a carryover from another tabletop game. As for a spitfire option, there is a trooper in ISS that can link with the Wu Ming that already has one to fulfill that role. And he's been on suicide watch for a while now, so if we need a main gun, why not give our beaky boy a reason to live? As far as Zhanying compatibility goes, I don't see how such a change would worsen that. If anything, it helps to better fulfill the narrative that they're an angry, rowdy bunch just barely kept in line by an officer who is himself already this close to the edge.
Interesting take on the wu Ming, some grenades as throwing weapons could fit the rowdy Image as assault troops. Maybe a heavy shotgun instead of the boarding shotgun to emphasize the close quarter fighting capability even further. Would the beaky boy geht Veteran too to fit into this link? I mean as it is he could get Veteran and a breaker spitfire and could still cost the same as he is now.
If I was taking the neuro ML, I would absolutely take it with a couple of long ya so it could be part of a devastating coordinated order in the active turn.
Nobody with a brain is going to leave something high value enough out to warrant getting shot at by that combination of units.
Yes. My point is: This unit is made for ARO, so don´t expect it to do much active things. Especialy not from neurocinetic units.
Fucking amazing. The Crane needs to pay attention. I just wish her visor didn't look so bad on the model. Her artwork is gorgeous, as is the rest of her sculpt aside from the visor. I might have to do a head swap for this one.
Damn beat me to it! I was just writing something up. I'm surprised it's not Lei Gong but I'm not complaining. She looks fantastic. I might get it just for her! Good shooter and CC. I wish the weapon was a bit more interesting. But Zapper is nice. The first E/M CCW in Yu Jing I think. The figure looks AMAZING! For White Banner I'll team her up with Jing Qo or Kai. She has both Super Jump and Climb Plus which I love. A specialist is always good. Bixie MULTI Rifle, Zapper, Flash Pulse / Pistol, E/M CC Weapon. (0 | 41) LIANG KAI Chain Rifle, Light Shotgun, Flash Pulse / Pistol, EXP CC Weapon. (0 | 21) SHAOLIN Chain Rifle, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, DA CC Weapon. (0 | 6) 0 SWC | 68 Points Really? I love her. She looks fantastic.
There's also Qiang Gao at 18.47 Who will become a Shang Ji proxy immediately. Unless they make him worth taking.
Also, a point of interest, in the video is that while ISS and WB were mid to low popularity, they were 9 and 10 in the top 10 of "efficiency" whatever that means, since N4 came out. While Tohaa was both very popular and did very well.
They're trash stats because they're not curated, I wouldn't recommend paying any attention to them. They're just taking every win loss reported by ITS and looking at that as an overall. The results of major convention events are being drowned out by a bazillion results from local level tournaments that are nowhere near useful as a competitive indicator.
Bixie is awesome - visual and game-wise. I only wish she get a bit cheaper. I would get climbing + (her thing is jumping) and FO & FP from her to save a few points. So she will not compete too much with Tai. Slowly YJ gets the CC back ;-) Qiang Gao is not so much awsome. He looks okay I would get him, because I also want Uma (who is also not so much awesome) if only for me collector soul. Maybe CB tunes their profiles a bit, someone can get hope. But I want a Lei Gong mini too ;-)
They have sufficiently different options. Tai either brings a Tinbot to the team, or she's offering different rangebands and potentially CoC if you want it.
The price is the only thing I don't like. Seems like every time they give us something new it needs to be 30pts or more. The only one less is (Non-Merc Yu Jing) Xi Zhuang at 21pts. I guess Taowu and Liang Kai could also be included.
As far as MSV2 units go, however, she fits a nice little point gap, especially now that the Haidao sniper isn't all he used to be. Rui Shi does well enough at 23, and big daddy Hsien rules the roost at ~55. Bixie brings some very nice middle of the road coverage for MSV2 shooting. Moreover, she's a fun, mobile, close quarters MSV2 shooter, which makes her a little more interesting than most. She's actually much like a reverse Shikami. Really interested to see what fireteam options she gets in White Banner. While she counts as a Shang Ji, I doubt they'll make her a wildcard. Her roaming about with a monk would be nasty.
Tinbot could be provided by Zuyong or Shang Ji. Leaving CoC and MK12 (Breaker is same like multi). I aimed for the FO because both have it I would like to see Bixie a bit more cheap. Which gives us three NCO characters in IA to choose from. All are specialist. And yes all have different roles, while Krit is a support unit, Tai has a command option and is the best shooter (stats wise), Bixie brings CC and moveability. I would like to see her in a pure combat role.
Looks good, but canonically she has so much metal in her I think she should have Structure and not Wounds.
