I must say, I had covid and had no power to do anything for weeks. But as you see now I'm back with more weekend WIPs... And a question. Shoud I repaint Hecklers cable to fluo green-black and follow main colour theme of my army or yellow-black looks ok for you?
I didn't get any answers about cable, so I made decision on my own ;-) I also made first Hollow Man. I tested how fluo green looks on hex pattern. It was kinde of test before I start with Kriza Borak. I'm very happy with effect, so I think he will be next. I tried to use Templar Black Contrast to make coat but it's very dark, so I ended with some selective drybrush and edge highlights. I'm not fully happy but it looks good on table, so...
Mary Problems WIP. I wanted her to look like her story - in fact young parkour-hacker girl with gadgets and augmentations. Just like Overwatch Sombra but in her everyday joggers and military vest with all those guns end gadget.
Mary Problems is more or less finished. I changed the pattern a bit, but idea is the same: Street kid, hacker-parkour runner girl in her private outfit under more or less military vest and webbing. I added a bit of saturation and highlights to her clothes but still not sure about the purple panels. Especially on her arms. Maybe I will turn them also pink?
Kriza Borak with HMG. I like this model but I think that Mk12 is more useful. Metalic red is hard to highlight and looks better live than on photo. And fits very well to flu green. Next will be another Balkan soldier - GRENZER.
Nothing new painted, because I have some renovation in my home, but I used this time to start blog. I'ts also my exercise in writing in English. I hope you like it. https://oldbrushbadger.blogspot.com/2021/05/my-first-girl-from-tunguska.html
I have now big renovation in My house, so there is no room for painting, but I made some tutorial/guide about preparing, glueing and basing metal miniatures. There are always some questions from new players about it, especially when they played WH40K, Malifaux or other game with only plastic and/or resin models. https://oldbrushbadger.blogspot.com/2021/05/dont-cut-your-hand-dont-glue-your.html
Year passed without any time for painting and just few occasions to play. But I'm back again and ready to experiment... this time with Contrasts from GW. And thus model is a lot of history: first edition Nomads starter, waited more than 15 years to be painted... and base was painted by @maru more than decade ago as an example for me. Thanks pal! I live in Poland and have a lot of friends on Ukraine so I chosed yellow and blue. Iyander Yellow and Ultramarine Blue Contrasts for uniform and "ancient" metalic Cidatel paint Polished Blue for armor. She is still WIP of course, but I think she looks good. I like yellow contrast effect so much, I think to use it for my Corregidor with red metallic armor. What do you think?
@Bors The yellow & blue colors seem to be a unique scheme I have not seen on Nomads. How would this might look on the newer Nomad models?
I think it will also look OK. But I want to paint my new Corregidor in yellow with red armor. I want them to fit with my black+red Tunguska. Maybe except Alguaciles. I see them more like volunteers, mercs or militia - just ordinary Corregidor citizen fighting when must or when paid. So I will make them look like wearing civil or company spacesuits under red military armour.
Almost a Year and I'm back. This time some strange new ideas... like metallic red REM. I think it looks good.
I've also made another Heckler, but this time with a little twist. This one was made with Contrasts and underpainting. Here you can see him with his more traditional painted brother.
Hacker/Rogue AI is finished. I will only work on base. Do you think I should place combi role on it, or tentacles may count as laser/energy equivalent of rifle and other weapons?
My Adam Sforza in white sneakers. A little crazy idea, but I wanted him to look a little more civilian.
