I did find them in the end, but thank you for the link. What I had meant was if the price of the bundle reaches the UK retailers and is sold at the same price that the Yu Jing one was / is. Should that price not be the same, due to the price increases seen in the past few months for various reasons, then it may not be quite as cost effective. Sometimes the conversion from the CB price in Euro to the UK value in stores doesn't always match up for different reasons.
And then you notice that the armoured arms are much thinner with armour than the unarmoured one. Whoever sculpted those was high or something.
Gimme that new PanO knight! There’s no cure for Pokémon syndrome. I must have the new toy regardless of how good/bad the profile is. You shouldn’t have to but I agree this would work. It’d give some breakup on the miniatures. I’ve never minded having to modify my minis but I just find some of the new Morat… odd. The proportions are just difficult to look at on some of them particularly the vanguard. It gets even worse for me when you look at the ones in armour who actually have wrists and are better proportioned. Oh well, they’re not for me anyhow. They will make a good birthday gift this year for my friend as Combined is defacto his army in our group. Many thanks!
Not a fan of these new Yaogats at all. Aside from abandoning everything cool about the two previous versions (both of which were great designs), they just don't look like Morats. Take away their MAF guns and they're just generic looking armored dudes.
Vanguard K1 Sniper is better than it was in N3, but I’m still not convinced it’s a good loadout. Model is fine, though.
Yeah, the Vanguard K1 Sniper looks good. The bag really helps give it some weight and look like it fills a specialist role. I still prefer the heavily armored uniforms of the old Vanguard over the lightly armored jumpsuits of teh new one, but this is still a good look and a nice model. It has a lot of character too. The old SWC vanguard were all just the exact same guy in almost the exact same pose holding different weapons (except for the Hacker, who was actually pretty cool with his unique headpiece, back pack and arm armor)
Do we have any idea when the Hlokk Station Expansion Scenery is going to come out ? We saw a preview of it already, just wondering.
The weird shoulder/back unit that comes up around the head is pretty distinctive and is honestly starting to grow on me,
You're right, that is distinctive. They have a kind of domed look that is somewhat unique. What I really meant is that they don't distinctly look like they belong to MAF, or Combined Army in general. They're big and bulky, but not in a way that is particularly different from other bulky HI found in other armies. Their headgear and backpacks are somewhat distinct and interesting, but wouldn't look too out of place in Nomads, Yujing, Haqq, PanO or as generic NA2 mercenary HI.
I'm also still surprised that Carlos started off saying that one of the design goals was to give Vanguard a new less armored look that matched their in game ARM stat, and then turned around and bulked up all the ARM 2 and 3 MI to look like ARM5 HI.
You've been here since 2017 and are still surprised that whatever Carlos says in happy voice on video pretty often doesn't match what actually is done by CB?
I've been here way longer than that. Anyway, in this case what Carlos said in the video is exactly what they did.
You just said they claimed that they made the minis look less armoured to reflect their ARM state, but at the same time went the other way and made the stats more armoured?
I think I'm generally gonna stick with old Morat sculpts altogether. I'm gettin Anyat and Zabuk out of the Dire Foes, getting the Tyrok limited mini and that's about it. Will get the new four-armed HI if it comes separate from the army box. Don't need anything else out of it.
Those are really the only 3 from teh new range that I actually really like. The Kyosat is also okay. I think I might like the non-hacking Zerats better since they won't have all the weird hacking stuff on them. The rest of the line just isn't doing it for me. As a dedicated Morat player since before original Human Sphere I'm mostly skipping new Morats and focusing on Shasvatii instead. That doesn't feel great.
