The Digger linkability is new. It counts as a Druze for Fireteam bonuses. A 14 point link filler that brings two wounds can be very useful.
shame if you want it to have a hmg , though poor bs you need to roll a 20 or HI armor a 1-2, 12, 18 side note never understood why they never got oktavia or a beast hunter

Yeah beasthunter is one release I would have really liked for Druze just to give the camo game a little guesswork.
It's weird but Druze got a little boost in Ikari too. They can now have Arslan, Druze AVA4 instead of three, and Taowu, Diggers, and Brawlers still count as Druze. They can still only Haris or Duo but that's not bad at all. However if wanted a lot of Druze I'd just play them!
Speaking of Diggers, what is everyone going to use to proxy them? I've been looking at some conversions based on old Asawira, new Naffatun, or old Djanbazan but haven't decided yet.
Personally I have gone with the old sculpt Kaplan with spitfire. It has enough armour that it doesn't look out of place as HI and I tell myself that the old model is representative of the obsolete technology being used by the mining companies.
I think the old Domaru is the only HI to have a Chain Rifle. I as thinking it's also an opportunity to use some Tohaa. The Digger is a lot like a symbio armor, so it's a way to add a little more diversity in a force. Especially mercenaries.
Domovoi, last time I fielded a Digger. I'm looking towards the Kosmoflot Patchers as permanent proxies (once they get released. And assuming the CB won't be releasing dedicated Diggers by that time).
i contacted cb on kickstarter about the tags for future models, i assume its the same for the other generic tag raid units: (beasthunter and digger)
Yup, CB being their usual cryptic selves. The thing is, I'd love to know whether I am to wait for an official release, or find myself a reasonable proxy. A hint: save for the single Rifle one, all my Brawlers are actually proxies (I bought some discount / discontinued / bargain bin models, or in one case a second-hand one, from different factions, and gave them a consistent paint scheme to serve as my Brawlers. Dactyl Doc, old Kamau Hacker, some Yu Ying sniper, old Najjarun Engineer - you get the picture)... and then CB released a dedicated Brawler Box (except for the Brawler Hacker, who was an exclusive with one book or another). So yeah, I'm just being somewhat grumpy, I know. Just venting here a bit. As of this moment, I intend to buy van Zant (old or new...) to be my Beasthunter, some Patchers (once they show up) for Diggers, and I'm waiting for the new release Lizard, so the old one will land in my usual shop's bargain bin section. I mean, Lizzie is looking odd enough it should look just fine as a Triphammer, y'know, something the miners have kitbashed out of an industrial TAG... DBS is the last on my list of priorities - the least favourite of my 6 sectorials. That being said, the other 5 aren't getting much in terms of releases I would buy (Corregidor, and by association StarCo, got a few models last year - but I'm not going to buy a whole box to get my hands on two models form Op: Crimson Stone, or one form Beyond CS...). So yeah, having trouble finding anything to paint these days :P
It’s a totally understandable gripe to have, there are some profiles that to this day haven’t been made as actual minis and I’m still proxying them! Van Zant as a beast hunter will be a good proxy, I intend to do a head swap and fill in the back of the haven’t with liquid green stuff for my Ariadne one. I’m getting the new shinobu as a beast hunter for my other factions. When I’m stuck for stuff to paint I just grab an old mini that’s been waiting for ages just for something to do.
That was my though behind testing with some Asawira. I think I have an old Al'Fasid somewhere with boarding shotgun...
or any of the mk 1 TAG sculpts Spoiler: old mk tags on that note: why don't they rename triphammers to something more akin to a military surplus...... you know what? why not just shortened to Triphammers, repurposed TAGS, and make CAD versions of all the original manned tags in correct s7 scale (and since it will be in CB plastic) with a bunch of spews containing various "refit/aftermarket parts" to represent booty along with allowing everyone of any modeling skill to make their own personalized triphammer [also be great models for the RPG]
