To be fair, he hasn't really said anything since Psycho asked for the thread to stay on topic. I'd save the chiding until then.
I would move the entire discussion to the other thread but given bad experiences from the last attempts, I would prefer to leave what is said here and move the discussion to the other proposed thread above.
True on Lt. but I still think it's a great option. I think the outgunning might depend on terrain. The +1 Chain rifle is just better. Anything hit by it makes 2 ARM saves right away. HFT is 1 save at +1 Dmg and only the Potential of another wound. They make the first one, no need for the second.
Chain rifle is better as an offensive option with the +1B but as a defensive option (were both are B1) heavy flame thrower is better.
It's so much better on the offense, however, and only marginally worse on the defense, that if you had the option on a HFT TAG you'd take it every single time.
Yes, but, it means either the enemy has reached so close they engage the TAG in not optimal range bands for its main weapon, and the TAG should not like to be in this engagement range.
Walk up to a fireteam *or* pop around a building where there's cheap enemy units on both sides and shoot in both directions - that's like a 22" total range that you can reach. Like I said before, I don't think your meta is representative of competitive play.
If you have a mean template weapon and your opponent just has a combi rifle, you actually *can* get close. Doubly so for the Gator since it has NBW and CC -3.
Blatantly false, prior to jazz CJC had some solid but not great hackers and made up for it with the repeater coverage, and Prior to Jazz they didn't have whitenoise. jazz brought whitenoise to the table which is a massive boost to CJC as well as her being an absurdly powerful hacking platform. Not ariadna, just MRRF and USARF
No, it was Ariadna in general. I distinctly remember those conversations. 15 order limit was supposed to be the death of Ariadna.
Thread cleaned up, posts have been edited or removed, please continue, but do not devolve the conversation again.
It is not in the army and it has already been stated by the company that it was changed from the time the segment was recorded and the update was released.
Ah. Well it does speak to some questionable ideas in the playtesting process if someone thinks it's a good idea for Corregidor to have that.
And somebody else thought it was not a good idea, isn't play testing the point were you try that and rebalance the process you fix already released profiles?
Interesting. I didn't actually realize people were in denial about the guided missile meta. Seeing comments along the lines of "what guided missile meta?" blew my mind a bit. And yes, this bears on the Gator, because the Gator's now one of the best TAGs available both using and fighting guided opponents. Having two different ECMs... One vs guided, one vs Hacking, plus being supported by one of the game's strongest Hacking faction, plus one of the game's strongest Engineering factions... Pretty gross. The Gator isn't just good in itself, it's extraordinarily in the context of the entire sectorial. Corregidor's also very dominant for utilizing guided missiles, and having a very strong self reliant Main Battle Tag allows Corregidor lists to break out from behind their repeater net and attack quickly. Guided lists sometimes get too static, due to having a lot of SWC tied up in area denial tools rather than big guns, so adding a dominant TAG really enhances the guided game.
CB fucking up profile teasers is one unchanging constant. Krit's reveal was a memorable one. 6 wrong stats including AVA2 on a named character.
