Yes, you need to view see the FAQs. They reworded everything. (PAG 134) VISIBILITY CONDITION Zero Visibility Zone: • Troopers cannot draw LoF into, through, or out of a Zero Visibility Zone. • Any Trooper who is the target of a BS Attack into, through, or out of a Zero Visibility Zone treats the Zero Visibility Zone as a Poor Visibility Zone when drawing LoF to the attacker. And https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/faq-1-2-news.40814/#post-426301 If White Noise isn't involved, MSV1 Troopers follow all their standard rules. So if they are the target of a BS Attack they get to react through a Poor Visibility Zone, with MSV1 reducing the MOD to -3.
I've had people not notice before. I could also do Adil HI who has 4-4. And I like the figure :) But yes I could also do an actual Tinbot Jujak to be cheap or go with SJ. Instead of TG there's also Lei Gong who also has MSV1 and I can use him with his Albedo before bringing up the Mim Ye Mao.
Don't plan around your opponent making bad moves or acting in competently, it only sets you up for failure. Always assume you opponent is better than you and knows what you're up to. Having your opponent be worse than you is the worst strategy to rely on.
This is cool, except Liang Kai can't join a fireteam with Ye Mao. The only fireteam Liang Kai is available in for WB is Shaolin monks.
Yes you are right. I guess I'm not used to the chart. Oh well. Jing Qo wouldn't be bad. She at least has Climb+.
White Company has Liang as Wildcard, but White Banner doesnt, easy mistake to make. Kind of makes sense as well, Liang is disillusioned with Yu Jing high command, he can still work well with other Shaolin but is no longer comfortable working alongside other military units. On the other hand Hawkwood is a phenomenal leader and is likely able to instil some purpose in Liang, carefully offering contracts that benefit the needy or punish the wicked, allowing Liang to mesh better with the whole force (Wildcard) but not to the same degree that decades of training with other monks allows (no Pure bonus)
Sorry for the side quest(ion): If I got this right, then MSV1 has better shooting in ARO through smoke then actually attacking through some?!
It all depends on if they are attacked through smoke. So if you're Lunah in active, shoot someone through smoke, and they think "hey, it's a -6 but I run the chance of killing them, I can shoot back through this smoke" then you get to reduce your own MOD from -6 to -3. Doesn't matter who shoots first (the MODs are checked in resolution before rolling)
Ah alright - the wording is "are the target of a BS Attack" so MSV1 through smoke gets better if the vic...target answers by BS attack - strange thing. Thank you!
I was thinking the same. I was putting in the JJ with tinbot, But for 4 pts more you get the +1BS, Shock Marksman, E/M Mines. Not band against almost everything but defiantly some anti-HI/TAG. Take the Combi profile. The link wants a 2W solid ARM dude to facecheck and trade with idiots packing DTWs on corners. Spitfire already covers the same bands as the Marksman Rifle.
I think both are good. The combi/HFT is really good for getting close. But I like having the back up of range for the spitfire since he's a priority target and can can go down easier.
You're going to have to have another primary gunner in the list somewhere else anyway, 24" bands in armies without anti MSV tech can't be guaranteed to not need a brute force solution to get out of the DZ.

Shot a couple of things, dropped some mines to cover the approach to supply box holdiers in my DZ, and then got killed on turn 2 by an ORC with an HMG. Not an explosive unit but she did perform her role of being a budget piece to escort Ye Mao into position while packing a Tinbot for the Hacker. Not amazing or particularly flashy but reasonable for cost and can adequately fulfill her role. Pretty much the thing everyone bitched at CB to fix, her goddamn fireteam options, fixed her.
What about those 6 infiltrating camo dudes? Is that something you regularly run? I've been waiting for a good opportunity to put my Daofei on the table.
At 400? Yeah 5-6 camo guys easy in a lot of WB lists plus Long Ya. Daofei got a solid power bump too as they're one of the beneficiaries for the majority of link teams losing 2BS.
