Looks like you can't get full bonus with mixed teams but what WC do have is still pretty great. Now Karhu can being in Kaplan team with a Beast Hunter. I know that Feuerbach in a fireteam is murder! Maybe not able to do BS16 anymore but still not bad. Liang Kai is now a Wildcard so he could join a Varangian Duo. Jujak can now Haris on their own. They will be easy to make a pure team. I can't see doing a pure 5-Man ORC or Kapan team. But Haris is possible.
Most of the NA2 merc factions have very little in the way of Coherent mixed Fireteams, I think it's a good choice as it emphasises that these are mercs in it for the money rather than loyalty to their nation.
I don't get that 0 to 1 Nisse in the WC fireteams. Does it mean you can go 2 orcs 1 nisse or something along these lines?
It means that , for a "White Company Fireteam", you need 0 Nisse to form it and can include 1 at most. You do, however, need at least 1 ORC or Jukak to form it.
After looking for a while, I think the Karhu haris is an excellent and probably a will be dominating opcion for me. But also the AVA increase for the beasthunter is very interesting. As the things are now, we will probably see more prominence in haris and duos as well as individual units in the table, the loss of +3 to BS in "mixed links", will change the way of defending, since there won't be much difference in the BS of a core linked ARO and a duo/haris or single attaking unit, for example a Haidao Sniper vs any good unit wiith BS 13 or 14 using a HMG or something similar. That's why I think the beasthunter AVA 2 is good news, they brings mines, camo, linked panzerfaust, direct templates, CC attack, etc... everything that these cheap disposable troops bring can help the defense in general and specifficaly for a Karhu haris.
At the moment only TAG Raid miniatures are planned... ... they will probably make new miniatures for a general release for Infinity; but I don't think it will be before the Kickstarter ones are delivered.
I have done 3 games with WC and the new fireteam rules so far. Dont think I will use my earlier staple 5 man team with the Haidao sniper alot going forward. A 3-man team with the Karhu feuerbach and Lian Kai have been doing good work in 2 of them. One game I had valerya in there, and the other game one of the Kaplans.
Wow I didn't see there's now AVA2 on beasthunters! The haris with one of them is interesting but I really like the FD ones. You also can't use their Irregular order in the team. You also have mixed movement skills of Climb+ and super jump. I guess that's going to happen anyway.
The Morat hunter just got a second sculpt as the Adepticon exclusive mini, and several Defiance characters and units got minis before delivery, so it's possible we'll see a generic hunter before then.
Yes! this week I'm thinking in a list based on this: ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 6 2 KARHU Feuerbach(+1B), AP Mines / Pistol, CC Weapon. (1.5 | 35) KARHU (Engineer, Deactivator) MULTI Rifle, Blitzen, D-Charges ( | GizmoKit) / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 29) BEASTHUNTER FTO (Minelayer) Heavy Flamethrower, Panzerfaust, AP Mines / Pistol, DA CC Weapon. (0 | 9) DANAVAS (Hacker, Hacking Device Plus [UPGRADE: Oblivion (+1B)]) Combi Rifle, Pitcher ( ) / Breaker Pistol, CC Weapon. (0.5 | 22) GŬILÁNG (Hacker, Hacking Device) Combi Rifle, Shock Mines ( ) / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0.5 | 30) GŬILÁNG (Minelayer) Boarding Shotgun, Shock Mines ( | Deployable Repeater) / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0.5 | 27) BEASTHUNTERS (Surprise Attack [-3], Camouflage, Forward Deployment [+20cm]) Heavy Flamethrower, Panzerfaust, AP Mines / Pistol, DA CC Weapon. (0 | 15) PEACEMAKER Heavy Shotgun / PARA CC Weapon(-3). (0 | 20) AUXBOT_3 Heavy Flamethrower / PARA CC Weapon(-3). (0 | 4) 3 SWC | 187 Points Open in Infinity Army I know that many players prefer Kaplan engineer over the Karhu, is a reasonable choice... but for me linked multirifle with visor + mimetism it's too tempting if you need to move closer to the center of the table, and in the case you sacrifice the beasthunter you can use C+. For board control a beasthunter with two guilang (one minlayer) could give you 4 camo marker in the middle of the table, plus another camo marker in your deployment zone. I think these units combining with a pacemaker and Danavas could give you a solid defense. You have templates, shotguns, camo, visors, hacking network, etc... Regarding core links, I think I'll continue using Haidao plus 4 members, or at least plus 3, since although I would lose the composition bonus, sixth sense seems essential in a core.
I like the the Karhu ENG. The WIP might be less but they gain MSV, NCO, Multi-rifle, BS13, and most important is Climb+. He can get where he needs to be.
Linkable nisse goes a long way to replace (imo) defunct haido. I think my 5man core is now 4 fusiliers and a fuerubach orc (still bs15 in the core) My usual Harris of orc hmg, tin bot jujak and valerya has seen the orc swap for hmg nisse. (Msv2 bs13 mim -3 HMG yes please) Sneaky change of varangians to have trench hammers is great Berserk is so much better with DA. 3 saves on a 14+ and if they are still alive after 3 hits you pistol whip them for shock 14. Great that taowu is linkable but still can not find a spot for him (although druze he will be an auto include now)
They've still got the skill, just looks like they haven't ticked the box that makes the icon show (or however their backend works)
I know this is an OLD thread, but I just started messing with WhiteCo. Why do you think the Haido is dead? Do you mean the MSV2 Sniper version? In IA (I know it's different), I use the Haido Killer Hacker in nearly every list. Would it no go well with the Nisse+Jujak team? That Tinbot-6 goes a long way with that guy.
I think he's talking the Snipers? On their own, the Nisse is better due to mim-3. But the Nisse has limited fireteam to join. The Haidao can join any of them.
Nisses are better gunfighters, Haidao are better at surviving that shot that passed through, Haidao can be in cheaper fireteams but maybe is needed in more critical roles than been the MSV2 sniper. Overall both have their positive and negative.
