I like the redesign of the Nasmats. It lets me hope that our lovely chicken remotes will stay chickens when they get a resculpt. But I wonder what the role of a medical Assistant is in a faction full of doctors? Paramedic would be redundant. Even if he cost only a couple of points.
Cheap compared to the Janissary;) His weapon options make me think, that he will be optimised to just beeing a Doctor and therefore he has no frills attached. Basically a Ghulam with Akbar. Id even take that.
I find it unlikely that's all it would end up being, if it even ends up being an Akbar doctor. Give the increasing appearance of mix-unit fire teams, it could readily be intended for that sort of "play experience".
It would be nice to have a new doc, it may be a sort of support pack resculpt. But unless there is some sort of special fireteam , I'm not too interested. Boarding shotguns and MSG are not that interesting.
Woah. Most importantly, this says Ramah Task Force. It's happening! In the general speculation thread for April, someone suggested that those backpacks look like AD backpacks. If that's so, I have a lot of interest in SMG or BS armed Doctor+.
I mean, I would unironically take that, be it with Jan in vanilla or otherwise. Especially considering he will double as deployment guard. Granted, med-bee as we understand it wouldn't be given a nasmat. Hopefully it's not a redundant profile with redundancy meaning we're up for a JSA-style split...
As I wrote in the topic about new Sectorials, I'm always happy for new sweet minis for Haqq - and this concept looks promising :) BS or SMG are interesting and with such loadout this guy can be even cheaper than Ghulam Doc. And, as he's looking like a Ramah Doc, I'm really starting to believe that he may have the Akbar Doc rule :) Ideal to work with Al Fassid for example. Intriguing. PozdRawiam / Greetings
Since you wont go out on a killing spree with your Doc, SMGs and BSGs are the perfect defensive weapons even for an unlinked Doc. The BSG helps due to its big bonus and with the SMG you can go into suppression. Both offer ammo options to deal with different threats and both keep him cheap, so I dont get, why it would be uninteresting? +1 Wip for our plethora of Doctors would be to good, if you ask me. In PanO its ok, because they only have one Engineer, but for us then healing on 18s or 19s....puhhh. On the split thing, I am quite sure, that wont happen. There are no pointers in the fluff, that would suggest it.
Looks of that gear he's carrying suggests some advanced medical gear. I doubt it'll be used for evaccing something, but whatever it is, it's likely not there to signify a "regular" doc plus.
Looking to the Djans Doc + is a bag and a medi gun, but looking at the Jan Akbar is also a bag and a gun. The equipment seems to be the same for both levels of doctor.
well - Cube jagger have the same "tank" behind his back. some1 say it for AD jump. But if it for evacuating the Cubes? BUT - Hakim weapon choices make me remember about units like Bashi Bazouks... so AD skill of low level would be interesting. Will he get his own "Zond-Nazmat" in this case??? But with this hopes i get some nervous - does Ramah force NEED their own Doctor on the feeld? So that happens to Ghulam Doc+ in Ramah???
Just because RTF gets a dedicated Doctor, it doesnt mean that Ghulam Docs wont be there. The point with with the Nasmats...maybe you are on to something here. Why would they resculpt them if they werent something special. So yeah, it seems that the Hakim has AD and special Nasmats is a possibility.
Haqqislam can always use more doctors. A specialized Doc+ with AD doesn't remove the use of a Ghulam Doc+, or perhaps the Hakim is an Akbar to go with Tarik and the Al Fasid's. I love that the face mask seems similar to the Khawarij. That could be a cool defining look of RTF.
An Akbar Doctor Ghulam but with a SMG would cost... about as much as a Ghulam. That'd be awesome! Making me think that's what this is, a dirt cheap medical specialist with a Nazmat. They don't seem to be equipped for serious combat duties, and the name makes me think purely support troops.
