This paragraph explains how unit names in brackets work: Fireteam Composition Bonuses are only applied if all the Troopers in the Fireteam are from the same Unit, or list the name of the Unit or Fireteam in a note or in brackets.
Yeah, this I understood. I was wondering about its interaction with Min # of troopers, and psychoticstorm cleared that out for me :)
Question from my group - anyone have extra ideas/feelings for how irregular in fireteams works now? All I see in the rules is if they use their irregular order they break out of the link, which is fine I guess? Counterargument would be something like tac aware, I suppose? So if I'm reading it right, a motorized ABH duo could use regulars from the pool, but would break as soon as they activate their irregular order. Everyone agree on that?
I think so unless it says otherwise. Like for Shaolin in WB, it specifically says they are regular in the team.
So, can anything from the top box link freely together? And they count as coherent only if they are all the same or the (same)? And wildcards need to have the correct (bracket text) to also grant coherent status, otherwise it is mixed?
Yes, yes, and yes. So you can now make a link of Alguacils, Wildcats, and Evaders, but it'll count as mixed; a Fireteam of Alguaciles and Lobos would be Pure though, as Lobo have the (Alguacil) bracket. For the Correctional Fireteams, any mixture of Lobos and Diablos will be Pure as they both have the (Correctional) tag, but as soon as you add a Jaguar it counts as mixed (as they lack the tag).
Correct, a Corregidor Fireteam of Alguaciles, Lupe, and Lobos would be Coherent, but an Alguacile, Brigada, and Digger would be mixed.
TY. Finally getting it. I love these changes, but I do have to say that using an army that just got corregidor wildcard treatment as a first example was a tad confusing... also I'm pretty dumb which didn't help!
Vostok FTO profile so disgusting it straight up caused CB to delete all the other profiles for it because they were fuckin' useless in comparison. ONLY IN NOMADS. Oh well at least the damn thing got some kind of nerf finally.
Little bit disappointed that MO didn't got any special fireteam rules.. but hey. General change seems interesting. Obviously Nomads had to get bettee deal with their TAGS and warbands suddenly joining links and becoming regular for lulz. At least you can now reform Joan link once someone dies.. so that's it.
Also Bulleteer in an Order Sergeant Haris Plus Hawkins, the new Hospitaller Berserker with MMMR De Fersen and Hawkins are Wildcards with the Knight Hospitaller label too.
This particular instance is unknown so I cannot give a definite answer, I will notify you when I know for sure.
Good new rules. Disappointed at the low levels of salt from the usual suspects but I hope that they find something to whip themselves into a frenzy about soon <3
