For some reason I REALLY dislike that Vostok's head. And I'd rather see them rebalance Iguana instead...
pretty sure everyone wants a rebalance to that paperweight. Just like how the Sombra should have been the Prowlers, this should have just been the new Lizard.
To me it feels like Tunguska has been loved enough for certain period, but Bakunin they need some love definately, which I can wait for.
I think there is a very good chance the Gator will replace the Iguana...CB has removed profiles previously.
I'm a CJC player since N2 and even I am getting irritated by the attention given to Corregidor compared to many other sectorials. As cool as new stuff is - instead of adding a random O-12 guy and a third TAG to CJC (bringing it up to 36 different units - thats top 3 of all sectirials) they could take a second glance at the internal balance instead? I personally hope they will not replace the Iguana. I really like Iggys concept, it just needs some tweaking.
Iggy is an ancient n2 sculpt, its fiddly to assemble, Heavy and solid metal. Binning it in favour of a new digital sculpt of siocast seems sensible.
The lizard is in last chance and will be available until 01/06/2022 maybe the Gator will take its place (which would make Bakunin a bit more in the strange situation of being half OOP).
The Gator looks very distinctly CJC and is featured in a book that focusses on Corregidor specifically. I'm pretty sure it will not be in Bakunin (sadly). I'm actually pretty sure that we will get a new Lizard.
I realy like the look of the Gator. I also wonder a bit, why CJC gets a new TAG but this is because they are in the book and the book is about a space station. This could be CJC first "real" TAG. Iggy is special case and Geckos are more like HI with the pro/con of a TAG. And from my sight it is always good to get something for Corregidor I play them since end of N2 but make a big pause to work into YJ and the Kaldstrom sectorials. And we will get the long awaited Moran resculpts in the afterwave of the book. From the visible text, we get a hacking resistent TAG. Maybe ECM Hacker -3, high BTS or inbuild firewall. The weapon could be a Feuerbach, wich would be great.
An “info-war/CQB” TAG could be really interesting. Something with limited/close in weapons (TAG SMG/HSG), plus a Hacking Device, lower ARM but higher BTS, and as mentioned in another thread maybe NBW… there’s some fun space there.
Guessing this is going to be Nomad's new Code One approved S6 TAG release to be inline with the Blue Wolf, Sphinx etc ?
To be fair, Iguana is one of the transitional N2/N3 sculpts that visually fit pretty well with newer digital sculpts. As for fiddlyness - the machinegun belt was tricky to get in place, but otherwise it wasn't any more complicated that, say, new Szally. (also, as far as I'm concerned, heavy and solid metal is not a downside =))
The Iguana is a digital sculpt by Fausto Gutierrez, just an earlier one (though newer than the O-Yoroi, Dragao, Anaconda, Scarface, and Jotum) The only remaining hand sculpted TAGs are the Marut and Lizard, both of which are going out of production in April.
...and I'm considering getting a dicounted Lizard to use it as a Triphammer. It always looked weird enough.
It's annoying that they've left Bakunin unloved so long, then again it's annoying they've revamped Corregidor so much and yet not released a decent looking Moran still. It's all about new and shiny cash grabs, with no follow through these days.
