Conversion thread! what've you got going on?

This is my favorite thread!

My contributions:

swapped a rifle for a shotgun on my old Khwarij, and made a Spitfire Namur out of two old Naffatun and a yu jing zhanshi head

 

@Nathonicus Very nicely done. Great use of old miniatures that would have not been used. The Namur certainly looks unique.

After I made my Traktor Mulebot for my NCA out of a Traktor Mul and a Mulebot (suprise!), I reversed the process for my actual Kosmoflot Traktor Mul. View it as Ariadna making process on their REMs – no more need for tracks when you're in spaaaaaace. The rocks are there to balance out the massive weight of the top-heavy part. The glue alone was obviously not enough to hold it together.

Also, does anyone even play Traktor Muls in Kosmoflot?

 

Squatting women weapon swap to create a Hunzakut Rifle+LSG and a Barid Rifle+Pitcher.

@QueensGambit I really like your conversions, but I like your hashtag better! I just painted up two more chickenbots so now I have four, and damn if I wouldn't buy another box if I found one.

My wife has had to put up with me singing the happy chickenbot song while I have been painting. :D

Damn. That old khawarij looks mean. I’ll have to add a similar conversion to my haqqi at some point. Nicely done!

 

I like the idea, but not exactly the execution - the Green Stuff blobs don't look any good on those guns :(
Maybe try to work on them a bit more?

Eh, I might try to trim them down a bit, but I'm leaning towards not. My low-skill painting technique for guns is just paint black, drybrush grey to bring out the edges. I figure on these, I can then just add more black to undo the drybrushing on the greenstuff, and I doubt the shape will then be noticeable.

 

I've done the apoxie blobs on guns and it has worked out. You can always take some off after it dries or remove what you don't need while it is still pliable.

 

This works perfectly if needed. Green stuff or liquid green stuff remains quite pliable by knife or clippers for a while before it sets properly.

 

Thanks! Yeah the facemasks on this guy and the old Djanbazan have this great aggressive bulldog look.

 

Definitely, they just look mean. I’ll have to source one. This conversion must be given life in my army. If it makes it into a video on our channel I’ll cite you as it’s original creator, it’s a really good conversion.

 

I'd like to see that video when it comes out.
