At least the Treitak Spec-Ops is safe! But why? It was also in a video (I can't remember wich one). He said they didn't know for sure what sectorial would be the next, QK or Gabqar.
Mrrf would be good and tbh, has had a spate of model upgrades recently with the 112, dozer, mirage 5, paracommando and chasseur all having modern sculpts, plus mercs like knauf, wolffy and alguaciles all being modern. It should be an easy one to do and move on
hmmmm... with so many discontinued models there is indeed enought free space for a Tohaa re-release. Yes, I'm hopeful.
This actually goes in line with what I've found. If they are disc 2022, Then new stuff comes out 2023. This year very little CA or YJ but next year it will be big for them.
I'd lean towards Code One's box and subsequent alpha/beta/etc featuring QK's revision or whatever, coupled with the Hassassin models that are "missing".
Morats are pretty recently re-designed, so I'd probably rule out that they get a "Morat-style" make over like what Shasvaasti did since... well... it's in the name, ain't it? Being somewhat brutally honest about it, I do think Morats are one of the least popular sectorials that's in production so this kinda makes sense if they need to make room for new stuff. I could probably name a sectorial that's less popular, but I'd be damned if I could name one that I think sell worse at the moment. Treitak is in a Dire Foes box Only unit I couldn't find on the list was Raicho (though I looked at Army and not at SKUs). I'd also note that this has impact on OCF since OCF has a significant amount of Morats in it.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that still thinks of 7-8 years ago as "pretty recent" Treitak is the generic term for Morat Spec-Ops, the male version is one of the last Paradiso era Spec-Ops still in producion. Anyat is a named Treitak in the Dire Foes box.
Oh yeah, I was looking at Anyat, that's true. Hehe, yeah time does slip past... well, it's also about perspective, right? A large scale aesthetic redesign isn't something you do often and the Morat redesign was by all accounts a success, so it doesn't really make sense to redesign them again. It's like... there's a few levers you can pull to try and make a faction (more) profitable and this is the riskiest one, you don't want to pull on it several times.
The Morats being discontinued could also just be some re-packaging. Many of them are single blisters. There's some in the list that are very good in Vanilla CA like the Pretas, Daturazi, and Rasyats. I can see a re-package into an Action Pack and no more blisters.
Or hopefully just new Hungries, having got some with Defiance they were somewhat of an effort to put together.
Yes. This could easily happen and there are some good arguments here for the Tohaa being a release too. I’m actually hoping for a haqqi release to be honest. I once had all the minis for them and it’d be a good excuse to start the force up again. This year will be interesting indeed…
What if MAF being discontinued this year means a new CA sectorial next Adepticon? One can only hope for an Aspect based sectorial.
An interesting perspective considering that the story is going to be moved on as well… would be quite cool.
The new Yuan Yuan makes me think even more that QK/Haqq is going to be coming out big this year. I know CB makes some questionable decisions with releases but why come come out with a YY? It's only used in a "dead" QK sectoral and Ikari. I don't think Ikari is that popular of a sectoral. Hell, even in Ikari I hardly take them anymore. It's a fantastic looking figure and great as a proxy for some, but that can only go so far. So either they are coming out with QK or they are going to be allowing in YY in more sectorals? I would love to have some in Druze!
Forgive me, I'm really not the best at this sort of surmising with Infinity, but I'll give it a shot hehe :) I'm still not convinced they will introduce a box with QK as the other side to Aleph short of a large revamp. There are already new Ghulam's, Alguaciles, a new Odalisque, Kaplans, Djanbazan and Bashi's. Sure, they removed the awesome Azra'il models (why oh why!), and a new Al Hawwa blister pack would be nice. One could make a case for the TAG's too. But what would a box consist of - 3x Odalisques, Hafza, Sekban and maybe a Jani? Beyond with maybe an Azra'il, Al'Hawwa and another Yuan? But that would be getting near to completing the sectorial given the other models available and well, that's a rare occurence :) Would be great to see the Yuan's available in some other sectorials and I really hope they do do this ! @colbrook You aren't alone - I still think of USARF Ariadna as relatively new along with my Mobile Brigada. :D
Sorry for the double posting. So will the future of the relatively new Vet Kazak HMG and Mary Problems become Code One repacks at the more expensive prices?
They'll be in 3 mini boxes, I think we'll see the currently OOP Tankhunter HMG as the third in the Ariadna one and Icestorm minis filling up the Nomad one. We don't know prices yet.
I can only hope that could be something like Mary with Kriza Mk12 and the Spektr or Grenzr from Ice Storm. If so, I'd be all over that box. Thanks for the reply!
