Linkable grunt with D-Charges and LRL, very nice. 5 new Sectorials this year, sounds we might get TAK sooner than we thought!
Here's a render of the new spec ops https://scontent-sea1-1.xx.fbcdn.ne...=077f4e4f20f6c822bcb11d56ef3ca9a1&oe=5AF07CA9 Looking like a pretty uniquely equipped profile that will fit nicely in a grunt link. D-charges are a huge relief dozer isn't quite so vital now. Model looks great but I was really hoping she'd have a different pose from the regular spec ops, (no tactical boxes to stand on.) She could also stand in for a lrl maverick if needed. Every time I see the Ariadnan light shotgun I hate it's design even more >_<. Glad I have lots of good extra shot guns for conversions and that the model doesn't have one on it.
The old light shotgun was definitely a more realistic backup/extra weapon, but its replacement is only actually present on one model so far, and I can sorta see how a lighter civilian style weapon makes sense on the Volunteers, though I'd have thought a Serbu or M26 would look better along side the more professional military themed USARF...
Bostria all but confirmed TAK and Vedic with no Shav or Tohaa. With the narrative campaign taking place on Dawn it is possible. I would expect at least a mini or two if they release a starter box of Ariadna and CA.
The good news on that is that in the Cancon video Bostria said they were doing "thinner books more often" in future, starting with the na2 list dump book(it's not called that, and might not even be that...), so it might even be 3 or 4 books away now, but those books will happen a lot sooner. Tunguska is pretty much confirmed and the YJ Invincibles have been playtested so would seem like a pretty good bet. Varuna, Ramah, Vedic, and the long shot of whatever the EI aspect/UR hegemony one is called means we're looking at a chance TAK isn't on the guest list at all, and an Ariadna vs CA starter is pretty much a pipe dream . Icestorm has sold enough where it could be considered a saturated market, but If it were to be replaced now with another PanO vs Nomad set with more Sectorial friendly lists in them, it still ticks all of Icestorm's boxes, but creates a reason to buy the box again, the beyond box doesn't even need to change, just update the PDF to the new units...
Im so keen on Rosie, she looks like everything I wanted in USARF as a second source of Eng and Dcharge classifieds. That really will help USARF in missions like Highly classified, and Anti-material missions. Heres hoping that visor is something tasty as well
Really hoping it is MSV1 as it looks like the Mavericks kit. Of course then I'll run into White Noise for a couple weeks and rant about that :dizzy: So maybe stats of a Grunt with +1 BS, PH and maybe WIP with Engineer, Shock Immune and Dogged. Armed with MSV1, LSG, LRL, Pistol, Knife and D-Charges. That reasonable for a 20ish points, 0.5 SWC character?
Lol, sounds way to much to me. Im thinking Eng, Lsg, Lrl, Pistol, Knife, Dcharges, WIP+1 (or BS+1), maybe if we're lucky MSV1, but more likely an Xvisor. Dogged would be good, but with the UR not being Shock immune Id say CB is deliberately staying away from that. A new rule/ piece of equipment we havent seen in USARF/ Ariadna would be cool tough.
I just based it off of the Nomad Lupe vs normal Alguacil. On paper she seems pretty amazing for 23pts no SWC! I only had Shock Immune as Grunts have it so I expect her to have Grunt stats +extras but I get what you mean about avoiding it with Dogged.
Hell yeah. If she gets engineer and D charges. Good old U-S-of-Ariadna will be smiling all the way to detonation. I don't think the visor will end up meaning anything since it's the same helmet the regular spec ops wears.
I would be very happy with a couple of new sculpts for the French. The only reason I haven't started collecting them and playing them already is because I don't like buying and painting old models.
