I think djambas and ahl fassid fits in lor terms with druze. Djambas and druze belongs to QK too. Maybe CB will change it or with the nue book explain why this units fit more adequatly than other with criminal background like kum, for exampl.
I don't think Djambazans fit lore wise with druze Spoiler: Djabazan Fluff The Djanbazan Tactical Group constitutes the Special Assault Corps of the Muhafiz, the Security and Intelligence force of Haqqislam. Its mission is to defend the entrance and exit points of Haqqislam and preserve the Silk commerce. This means that they must be ready for close combat with pirates, smugglers and insurgents. As a special unit it has been subjected to a genetic engeneering therapy programme to give them a superior ability of stamina and recovery. They are famed as being wreckless and above all dangerous. They say that they have spent so much time fighting against their enemies that that they have become like them. The commanders of the Muhafiz are conscious that they cannot create a predator and then try to keep it completely under control. So if their boys do everything asked of them, they don't mind if they go a bit over the top. They fight a lot of criminals so I can't imagine them hopping over to a criminal organization, or that Haqq would allow troops that they put considerable resources/technology into to go AWOL, but some more MSV2 would be a game changet for DBS, but I think its being intentionally limited
Hmm... weird. In the CB store description implies they are like the ones who they have to fight and that maybe a third party involved with them. Outside the fluff, I agree with you:they aren't needed here and they're part of QK's identity.
I'd love to see some sort of HI in the sectorial. Unless a new HI is revealed specifically for the DBS, I'd suggest maybe Mobile Brigada, or Janissaries. But then we'd need to be careful the force doesn't become a clone of QK. Other than that, I can't really say other than that it is looking a little empty when compared to the other forces.
Al fasids have that kind of fluff to fit everywhere actually :)).. who knows what kind of past that guy in power armor had?
It's a bid strange though, since the armour is obviously provided by Haqq military. So while they might have fought as Mercenaries, the moment they get there Al Fasid HI armour they should be loyal to the Haqq cause. Same would go for Wu Ming. The only way they both still could fight outside of their military is if they deserted and stole the armour. Mobile Brigade and Riot Grrls on the other hand do rent out there services as part of their military structures, so it makes sense for them to be part of mercenary companies.
Not necessarily. Wu Ming armor is old armor that isn't used in the IA fluff-wise, so it would make sense for YJ to sell it as surplus. And Wu Ming are prisoners, who's to say some don't just take off with their armor?
In 2172 a crack Shang-Ji Invincible commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Human Sphere underground. Today, still wanted by the StateEmpire, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Ming.
Looks like this gets answered ~ 32:17 although the answer seems to be: "See Ikari Company" rather than the DBS getting anything.
My guess is while the Krakot is an "expendable, merciless, and berserk alien mercs that probably work for cheap in their forces" like you say, it is also a little unprofessional/unpredictable. Bashis love danger for sure, Hunzakuts are jerks who don't share their orders, but Krakots run towards the enemy with chest mines primed. Same reason I don't think we will see Yuan Yuans despite me wanting both, doesn't fit the idea someone has of the Sectorial.
Yeah, he answered my question. I should have been more specific and asked "Will Bayram receive more units?" but I think the answer was clear enough. So basically if you want to play Druze another way, you play Ikari too. I'm actually cool with this, except I don't own much JSA and everything is already going out of stock.
Yeah that seems somewhat odd to me. I am looking to play with the druze and everytime I look at DBS and Ikari it just seems like Ikari will have more longevity. But I do like the brawler + druze link though... For example Looting and sabotaging. The only decent option I see for DBS is saito? While in Ikari it looks like theres going to be a load of options. Guess we will see at adepticon
I'm pretty certain Bostria mentioned in one of the recent videos that DBS will have new things "unlocked" with the Uprising book, so we might be in for a surprise after all.
L&S is currently problematic for DBS. It's strange for a faction to be so completely dependent on one unit/solution for a scenario, ever since the end of N2 CB has typically designed factions better than this. Saito is our only reasonable option. If you gamble on the infiltration roll, he can be unstoppable under the right circumstances. Outside of that option, our next best units are those that have (or can pick up) D-Charges. They all get about a 50% of inflicting one wound on it per activation, 35% to do two, and 8% to do 3. That's terrible odds. The barehanded TAGs are even worse. Druze hackers in a fireteam duo can do it a little faster if they get the +1 B, but still risk running out of d-charges before the console is dead. Also they are too effing slow to be doing this efficiently in the first place.
Yeah I was considering taking them to a tourny but this mission was the exact reason why I decided against it. That being said it is fairly hard for other armies as well, but at least they usually have one other option. If you have a time/video that would be grand. From what I can tell though it seems that Bostria always talks about druze the models rather than DBS. For instance in the uprising book video he says "theres more things the druze can be in" before going to Ikari.
Yeah, I just checked the vid and that's what I was remembering. In the previous sentence he said that they had been unlocked as a christmas gift ...
And there we go gentlemen! A brawler for starters(which I have to admit has a gorgeous helmet) and probably some additions in the uprising book. Judging by the looks of it, releasing a brawler box should be a huge prio for CB to keep the na2-hypetrain going. However, with the new proxy rules and CB’s sometimes funky release schedules we won’t know for sure. Perhaps it will have the same time between as Druze hacker and Druze box had, can’t remember how far apart those were though. Personally I’ll spit out my coffee if I don’t see crickety krakots in Druze with the book.
Yeah, for now DBS and Ikari look sort of like 30k Mechanicum armies at some point, which had several lists (Taghmata, Ordo Reductor etc.) which in fact were just expanding one upon another as GW kept pumping new Mechanicum minis. Here reasoning looks different, but the result is the same unless DBS receives something in the future.
