Seeing a lot of love for neoterra here so far, which is pretty cool. I loved the minis back in the day and the newer ones just rekindled my love for them. That Aquila guard with hmg is awesome. Had a game recently and gave neoterra a go with the minis my friend has as mine are still getting painted up. The Swiss guard took four hits from an AP HMG tank hunter and brushed them off like they were nothing. So proud of him. His active turn response was just as great, he crit twice with his hmg. I’ll mention my boarding shotgun knight of montesa here too as he’s been spectacular in both MO and vanilla lists in running up and downing his target before dying. Wish they’d kept the old style for the montesas helmet but otherwise I really like the mini.
Squalos are my favorite TAG visually so I am so happy that N4 has given them a niche among Pano TAGs as being super hard to hack (with fairy dust) The TAG that hunts hackers. lol Its wild.
And so few folks are expecting it. It’s crazy. “Oh, you’ll never get close because you’re afraid of my Hacking Area!” “Yeah, no, just die.”
It’s not my favourite TAG from panoceania but it is indeed hilarious for dealing with hackers. It is also incredible in Varuna.
Yeah, having that option for the Zapper is so nice. I remember facing an Oniwaban with the Lancer, and being just far enough away he couldn’t get me in CC. He was like, “cool, I’ll shoot you in Cover with my BSG, what will you do?” My response? “Well, even with your TO, I’m still ace shooting, so I’ll put you down.” And down he went.
Yeah, it lets you cheat the cap of trooper with an extra body that can trade up with nearly anything. It's great offensively, it's great defensively. It also hard countef what I believe is the strongest rule in the game, Impersonators. Just box in the Impersonator with the Peacemaker and the Auxbot ans you'll trade 20 points for their trooper. Without Peacemaker, PanO is one of the most vulnerable faction in the game to impersonator due to their very low availability of direct templates.
Auxbots have been responsible for some of my highest kills in game. They’re amazing for the points they’re worth. The peacemaker getting one along with all the rest it can do certainly puts it up high on the mvp list for me!
Agreed on the Auxbots; mine have claimed a Charontid, Wallace and too many annoying Skirmishers to count. Two Auxilia feature in almost every list I can take them in, and I've rarely been disappointed when I stack a Peacemaker on top as well. Back in N3 I even took the Auxilia LT option, SWC tax be damned, because an extra order to push forward such a good unit was worth the cost and I was bringing a Bolt CoC anyway. These days I prefer the Squalo for LT, but that just leaves more AVA for the Auxilia FO.
I just wish we had more than two variants. Or more than one considering what sees playtime. The LSG+Eclipse GL was niche when it had a +3 Rangeband, even though the GDA got better on paper you really wanted those ranged templates to roll 6 dice with N3 Crits back in the day. Haven't seen a single one in N4, it's all TAGs and Orcs these days (which is neat, but still a shame about the GDA).
Jotum! Meme TAG: Survived a lot of AP-EXP ML fire in his last game (it was the Hammer-Jotums premiere) - saved 16 from 17 saved from wich were 16 AP EXP and one a Spitfire in the open. Apart from this, Nisses normaly do good work.
Love the Jotum... I had one survive ALL of Andromeda's D-Charges, taking, I think, one wound (which my Karhu Engineer repaired) and critting her when she had to switch to her CCW.
