I’m unbelievably pleased to see someone else take the Aquila FTO! He’s a mean player especially if you get him in a link. Most people I know that do neoterra never take him. You seem to have had some fun with your neoterra, the armoury for me never goes well, no matter what I do! Your list sounds really great and I completely agree with your assessment of the feuerbach. In any normal case it’s an excellent weapon to have and is insanely good on the uhlans.

Trying to have fun with the faction forces on to me because I put it up as a vote. I am more focus on giving practical reasons why I said you all do not want me to do NCA and causing trauma/ptsd along the way. I like the multimarksmen more then the HMG partly because of the link and partly because I am seeing a lot more HI. I try to have at least 1 MSV in a link even if it is a black friar, which is great if you want to add the drop bears as a control option to an orc haris or fusilier core. My normal strategy for armor with NCA is to move a Swiss hacker and a Hexa spitfire in. The Hexa takes a pro active role trying to shot those who are near by before moving out of sight to re camo. The Swiss just stays in the corner and does nothing normally except saying, yep I am 60 points as a camo marker and you do not know what I am. Often the Swiss is enough to control the room which shocks some people as they will send in Joan to find out she is not enough points to win. Everyone else on the outside works to limit entry or kill models.
Yeah, simply being pedantic, the Squalo is the chassis and the specific regiment is the Lancer regiment, owing to the HGLs they typically come equipped with. I do like the PanO Armoured Cavalry reviving/using Napoleonic/classical names for the troop types.
Yeah, when folks get locked into specific ways of playing, etc., you can lose sight of some options. If it looks feasible to you, give it a whirl.
I tried something similar with my yu jing and the hac Tao minis but had less luck. I may try it with my neoterra, the dice gods are loving my panoceania at the minute! It’s a good idea plus I get to buy more toys…
While the Swiss's +1 BS compared to the Hac Tao doesn't look like much on paper, there's a decent statistical bump once combined with a burst 3-4 weapon.
Oh, good god yes. Though the hitting wasn’t so much the problem as making damn armour rolls after he’d been hit, lol. My Swiss guard on the other hand has tanked hits like a pro.
My Multi rifle ORC from Icestorm has spent far more time in the table as a Swiss Hacker than as an ORC...
Shows how long I’ve been in, but those MULTI arms on an OG Swiss ML fit almost perfectly. Similar thing is how I got an Aquila MULTI and ORC HMG before the box dropped.
I swap arms all the time, especially on my heavy infantry. Weapon swaps are my favourite though as I have a plethora of them. I recently converted a Swiss guard with missile launcher from a spare boyg, a father knight with spitfire and the new Swiss guard.
One of my favourite minis too! Not sure why. Possibly the ability for conversion on him. Think I had 4 of these at one point in various states of conversion. One even became a father knight in late N3!
Love that orc too! I converted a spare with a boarding shotgun from an extra nokken. At least I think it was an extra nokken. It’s a panoceania boarding shotgun so it’s come from somewhere, lol.
