One thing I don't like, and that's most remotes for me, is the guns have clips. Who changes the clip? They need belt feed or big drum clips. The more I look at them the less I like them. Normally the opposite for me. Oh well.
Looks more like Short-Ya imho. Pretty silly looking with menace level of 0. I mean - it is interesting and new, which is good, but the feel I get from these is more like a good idea, bad execution. Plus I can't for the love of god understand why CB is sticking to classic ammo magazines for units that can't switch magazines due to lack of actual hands. So what - these go into battle with like 30 rounds? Super Sci-Fi rounds, make it 120 rounds... still LOL On small remotes this doesn't seem that bad, especially new ones which sometimes get an ammo box at the opposite side to the gun. This time around it just breaks my suspense of disbelieve completely. I just don't feel these at all. And yes - this is totally subjective, I'm happy for anyone who likes the models - seriously.
I just can't take it seriously, that tiny head(?) is killing me. Looking forward to see some decent conversions
CB's understanding of guns is worse than the average inner-city soy latte drinking Californian. As for the remotes, I really like them. I don't like their looks but it's a refreshing look that isn't generic and after having painted 20+ generic S3 REM's, the thought of painting another makes me want to hurl myself off from a cliff. Give me some crazy looking shit, at least it gives me a reaction, rather than the generic ".. meh!
They are happy to meet you. Paint the "nose" red and the rest of "head" white with some black lines. Maybe add grass tuft above/around. Keep Nomad and clown on. Also general shape of "head" reminds me of Doozers (Fraggle Rock), except they had tiny eyes and under helmet, not big "above" it. I proposed swapping nose and crotch plates in another thread.
Since we soon got a model with the Heavy Shotgun, has anyone tried to send the HSG to the enemy DZ? Iunno, something definitely looks off being that squat. I do love the fact that the REM would have to turn its legs’ to change firing angles though.
