Miniatures? We have enough merc profiles already, I am glad they all share one profile. Even one additional merc profile is too much. Only a missing merc profile is a good merc profile.
It's frustrating for those of us who play sectorials that could reasonably have access to these profiles (MAF being the most extreme example) that get locked out because they can't bother to design for them.
Because most players probably play vanilla or have the ability to play vanilla. Also it makes sense for the mercs to take mining tags and slap armor on them and give em a weapon.
Most players also have the ability to play a sectorial. What are you trying to say? As far as the mercs go, for the most part they're meant to be professional companies, so repurposed mining TAGs doesn't seem in-theme.

You mean all of them are Joans in different kinds of armor ... But in HD I am even more sure it's Sheskiin. One of my Favorites. But not sure if it's just the normal Sheskiin or a weapon swap? On the other hand, the "thing" in her hand looks rather clumsy so ... yes, could be some makeshift PanO trash weapon So maybe you are right. But if it's Joan she went to the same coiffeur as Sheskiin.
In universe it seems like it would be much cheaper and way easier to get your hands on one of these mining tags/pilots than say a cutter or blue wolf. Also corregidor and these merc companies have fluff where it talks about them working for these mining companies and protecting their operations. To me the sectorials seem to be professional military units who wouldn't need to repurpose mining tags for military use.
Ariadna would need to. And it's not like corporatist PanO doesn't use its military to defend their mining interests too; just because you're babysitting mining operations doesn't mean you use their gear.
I see it as a fun extra for people who play Infinity, rather than being a necessary expansion. Which seems good to me? Kickstart the board game if you want to play the board game, don’t kickstart the boardgame because you need its models to keep up with power creep.
Some of us just like the idea of a repurposed mining TAG in our Ariadna sectorial, since it makes just as much sense there as in vanilla. And it just reinforces the idea that the N4 experience is oriented around and optimized for certain "chosen" sectorials and factions, with CJC near the top of the list.
From last CB mailing list. https://mailchi.mp/corvusbelli/tag-raid-press-5438325?e=1704b257e9 ..."game mode with Infinity N4 miniatures." "TAGs In this mode, you can replace your Mining TAG with one of the well-known N4 TAGs. If that’s not enough, you will also be able to replace your prospecting crew... with more TAGs! Forget the prospecting team as you know it. It's time to turn up the brutality level to the MAX. With a total of 12 TAGs to choose from, each player will be able to select up to three TAGs, no matter which faction they belong to, to form their scouting squad. So, if you want your team to consist of a Cutter, an Anaconda and a Zeta, you'll be able to do just that. Unlike mining TAGs, the attributes of the N4 TAGs are different from each other, capturing the essence of their Infinity counterpart. This difference will mean that players will no longer start from the same positions, so we must think carefully about whom we want to team up with." Now that could turn the game into an aka Gamma Wolves. ^^

No, that's reasonable, and I think Ariadna, as the "low tech" faction is where that makes the most sense.
