Lists of all special fireteams confirmed by the beast of war video. Just in case people haven't seen. Core: 3 keisotsu + 1 tanko + 1 brawler Core: druze + tanko (no numbers mentioned) Harris: 2 brawlers + 1 tanko / 2 tanko + 1 brawler Harris: 2 wu ming + clipper Harris: wu ming + brawler(s) I'm very excited for the druze + tanko fireteam if the tanko are anything like the Haramaki they replace. That EM/lgl is special and a KHD for a specialist in the team (not to mention the synergy with the heavies or the pitcher) is gonna hurt. Even the hmg or shock marksman rifle for a ranged option.
This is the NA2 I'm most interested in (besides JSA because it was my first faction). The fact that I get to be able to field all my four Yuan Yuan at once without explicitly getting my opponent's permission is enticing enough. With Rui Shi and it's suddenly very auspicious I'm wearing baggy pants. Wu Ming were also a general fluff favorite of mine, and linked Clippers was one of the things I was most Jealous of from Druze. Al Fasid's my second favorite Haqqislam HI, and I like including Ninjas in everything so this is showing up to be pluses upon pluses. It might even grow to be my main sectorial faction. As soon as it's available, I'll try to work a list with a core Keisotsu link, one Karakuri, a Rui Shi (maybe two), engineer, Wu Ming Haris, Al Fasid, Four Yuan Yuan and a ninja if I can fit all that. It'd be golden. Anyways, I recently got a Bashi Bazouk, is that one artwork with the War Driver and the Yuan Yuan meant to be totally representative of their color scheme, because I was thinking I might try matching that?
I was thinking of a very similar list but, at the opposite, I have only Aleph models. I was looking for a good reason to paint Wu Ming, Keisotsu and Bashi Bazouk and this sectorial gave me one. At the same time, I also really like the artwork, and I think it is going to represent the suggested colour scheme. It is similar to the Wardriver and the Yuan Yuan dossier with a combination of blue-grey-orange.
Why are the Wú Míng working with the dirty Japanese scum though? In all seriousness, this sectorial looks awesome, as they are full of almost all my favourite units and mercs. A list with a blunt force link, supported by Yojimbo and 2 Desperados, sounds hillarious to me.
Yeah, those were the original ones, but you have to admit that those in King of Fighters look way better than those "Rambo" ones.
Well, Carlos said someone would be linking Karakuri + Druze in the next book... Maybe this was unintentionally left out of the Ikari graphic? It also has the wrong AVA of Karakuri, so who knows?!
Oh whoa. Thats a weird link. Druze add a killer hacker to karakuri, ranged options are kinda redundant so maybe the grenade launcher, and the karakuri are the resilient face punchers/annoying ARO? They're already specialists. Huh. Where's the picture from? Haven't seen that one.
In the video TheDiceAbide linked Carlos mentioned they share the same point cost as Yuriko Oda, so some profiles must be 23-24 points, which is the same as the contender and light shotgun Haramaki. The biggest question in my head is if they'll keep the blitzens or get new skills in their place. Hoping for the blitzens but it would be a bit odd to make a new profile to copy paste an old one. (P.S., how do you hyperlink names on these forums?)
As in, user names? Type @ then start typing user name (without space after that initial symbol). Drop-down menu will appear so you don't have to finish the name, just pick it from the list.
I mean, they share half their names (Zensenbutai). It's not too offbeat for them to share very similar profiles. Unit-9 Ryuken are very similar to Raiden with limited Camo, minelayer, BS12 and X-visor, if not for the fact that they have more movement at the trade of one armor.
I think they'll definetly have similar profiles, especially considering the point cost and weapon options we've seen so far. I was thinking more from Bostia's end. They're wiping out troops to replace them with pretty much the same troops. Im just wondering if its because they felt hamstrung by the design in some way and its a new aesthetic direction, if the models sold poorly, if this was a move just to try to build up community hype and were originally planning to slowly dole out the info that haramaki and raiden were gone, or if its really just something they wanted to do in the narrative but didnt want to have gameplay consequences for. I'll be pretty glad to get the profiles back, and for what its worth I adore the new tanko, but beyond that I'm left with wondering why they did it when they have a living rulebook and could just change the profiles. I find I like it from both a narrative and artistic sense, but their reasons are a bit opaque to me
I mean, "new haramaki" was the most popular request in JSA sculpts thread. It seems redesign has been considered serious enough to suggest that treating them like new unit would raise less questions.
