Can oblivion target a deployed repeater? Oblivion's listed targets are "The target must be an enemy with the Hackable Characteristic (HI, TAG, REM...) or an enemy Hacker." Deployable repeaters are "comms equipment" but do not have the "Hackable" Charactersitic. " DEPLOYABLE REPEATER EQUIPMENT Comms Equipment, Deployable, Disposable (3), Indiscriminate, Zone of Control." I tried to turn off an opponent's repeater in a game yesterday and was shocked when they (and then our discord) informed we this was no longer a valid way to turn off a repeater? (Because oblivion can only target HI, TAGs, Rems, hackers, or things with the "Hackable" characteristic) RAW it looks right, but I wanted to make sure its correct, and two, is this an oversight? It seems bonkers to me that I can't hack somebodies WiFi?
N No you played it correctly. I think the only way to turn off a repeater that has been deployed is via E/M weaponry or with a Deactivator
Yup, if you want to turn it off through hacking, you have to Spotlight it and drop a guided missile on it.
