Yeah, well, that would be a Jaguar. I am just thinking that comparing a profile that already has booty (like the Bandit vs the Bounty Hunters), giving him a bike option would be straightforward. And the Bandit would be even better as a fragile alfa irregular piece. Especially if he retains Camo.
I don't know man, having the ability to move 9' then have a 60% chance of sticking a smoke grenade anywhere they can see within 24' isn't half bad.
I don't like rolling 12 on a single die, especially because a single ARO become a risk. I would like SGL to have at least a +3 on the 0-8 range band, this way they would feel like a direct upgrade on normal smoke granades.
After a good number of test games I found the ZN to be under whelming and under performing, compared to N3 when I often ran 3. And a lot of it came down to the unreliability of the SGL, wasting over a third of your pool to get into position and then proceed to repeatedly fail to land it (uncontested most of the time), which over the course of a good number of games the only take away was how bad the current SGL is and how badly it impacted the ZN. That being said I do intend to try them again with the current season changes, as it fixes a lot of the issues I have with bikes that are meant to be dedicated gunfighters meaning the spitfire maybe worth it for the first time this edition, though it is only a spitfire which I have found outside of certain circumstance to be barely more effective than a pool noodle, and not work to well with the Zondmate once dismounted. Hacker is significantly better though (no surprises there, the good profile is good again).
I mean statistically they should hit more than they miss, but we all know stats ain't worth s**t Haha. Yea I agree, the hacker seem's a good option now. I think I'm just trying to justify taking such a beaut of a model. The spitfire isn't too costly for what could potentially rip apart the enemy force in 1 turn. A team up with the new Bounty Bike could be quite fun, a little co-ordinated zip - zip...
Hi, A friend of mine wants to start with Corregidor. We both just jumped into N4. He already owns the 300pts army pack and wants now to expand with the Crismson Stone and beyond CS pack...is this feasible, or should he go with something else? Thanks guys.
if you're talking about the 300pt pack from N3 with mcmurder, the tomcats, brigada, bandits and what ever else was in there, CS and B:CS are perfect expansions for it.
mostly REMs and the support box and jaguars, the dire foes box for jazz. I'd also say morans but the rumor mill is that they will be getting re-sculpted soon.
As Tourniquet said, with those packs you will have a lot of options. You can proxy a lot, but as a suggestion for "good to have": - Jaguars box: probably the best core option at the moment, plus amazing profile on its own; - Lunokhod blister: can use as Lunokhod, as Tsyklon, nobody will tell the difference, and it brings you Koalas which you need to proxy a Moran on the table (because you will be waiting for a new Moran sculpt, but you need one or two right away even if proxying with something else at the moment); - Jazz. You can buy the dire foes box, or get some other hacker looking mini. Like Valerya (that can ALSO be Valerya later if you buy a Jazz mini). Or if you want to have her plus a bot, go with the Zoe and Pi-Well Blister. - Support Pack: I am a firm believer that a linked Daktari is the best buddy to a Brigada Haris or Core, but you can proxy her as well.
I have just bought and assembled the Dire Foes Jazz & Billie. Billie appears to be a bat, or maybe a vampire. Does anyone know why? I am assuming there is some sort of a reference (perhaps musical) that is going over my head here. Did anyone else have trouble with assembling Jazz? I would have no hesitation in calling her the worst-designed Infinity mini I have assembled. The flash and mould lines were unusually bad (by CB standards), but the sword arm was the real issue. The sword and the straps were so badly warped during transportation that I spent at least 30 minutes slowly bending them to more-or-less line up. To my mind, this seems an obvious an inevitable problem with the design of the mini. Why does she even have a sword anyway? She should have 'hacker arm' like everyone else! I see the new Valerya also has the same sword (but does not appear to be held in those stupid straps at least).
My best guess is that it's a reference to the manga Billy Bat, by the same authors as Monster and 20th Century Boy.
Tried it yesterday and it was great! :) Gecko MMR + Lupe Balboa + Wildcat engineer. Dmg15 B5 AP/Shock up to 24" is scary...
We’re Nomads man, we’ve always gotta make it weird. I am extremely excited to put some Lobos into Jaguar squads (Correctional fireteams). Being able to field a Red Fury and a Specialist or B3 ADHL in the team (plus regular and Eclipse smoke) and still get +3 BS is AWESOME. Diablos, less exciting. Massacre already has NBW, and the team doesn’t really need more CC help. Not worth it to add Hackable, at least.
It can be many things dragging an engineer along is never a bad thing, thought the 9 wounds Haris is quite tempting.
12 if you count the pilots, or killing them off so the pilot doesn't jump out with his brace of assault pistols!
