Reading them... I didn't expect the rules/gameplay to be so similar to Infinity, even down to the weapon damage and burst values - interesting. I wonder if the target audience is specifically Infinity players or if they plan to use it as stepping stone (e.g. beneath CodeOne) to bring outsiders in.
They're most likely not locking the taryot. It will at worse be a case like Defiance where we will get a different sculpt sometime down the line. I'm quite curious about this morat tag thing. It looks like it has a chainrifle. If it is a CC-oriented TAG I will like it.
No, but this Darvot recovery squad does sound suspiciously like they could use something to drop into warzones. Just a hunch at this point. I agree that it's not technically locked, but having to wait even longer for crucial models is a genuine nuisance. Shinobu is an egregious example, Sforza and Valerya less so but still annoying, so I'd personally consider them effectively locked behind Defiance for the time being.
Another little tidbit from today's video is that the tiles are double sided with desert and arctic options
Also works as a way for poeple who play infinity to play a different game with more than 2 players without having to lean a whole new rules set.
I agree with you and get what you're saying but I'm going to poke fun anyway... in the time I spent learning (and keeping up with) the rules for Infinity, I could've learned probably 100 board games, so I'm not sure how much time I've saved overall by the convenience of not having to "learn a whole new rules set"
Man I am super keen on the Morat mech. Loved the sculpt and then was stoked to find out it was a Morat unit too - really hope it (and the others) make the jump to the main game
I thought Carlos called it a Bulldog! It looks really cool. That looks way more military than the others.
