He clearly did since he refers to the "coming days [...] following weeks" part. If I were him I wouldn't expect them in October either.
I did:- "The shipment of all the products to the UK is planned for the coming days, and shipments to backers should happen within the following weeks. " It will be October before anything reaches the UK distributor, earliest they might even receive it is 4th if it hasnt event been sent yet as the update states. Let's be generous and assume that. Then deliveries will take place 'within the following weeks'. How many weeks are we talking? The plural means a minimum of 2 and a maximum of...? The container arrived in Spain weeks ago and they didnt decant the items for onward shipping to the UK until now?
Assuming that DHL can find a truck driver to deliver them to the distributor, and that truck driver can find fuel in the UK
Stop butting in with your own whining about another person's legitimate concerns. Who the fuck cares about your package, we were talking about his situation now.
Whether they sent them to the UK distributor on the 10th or today, they still dodge the import duties. The difference being if they had done it sooner then the distributor could already be fulfilling orders rather than us looking at another months delay. This shouldnt have been a last minute deal. They have had years to plan the method of distribution even if Suez was a delay to the initial delivery
"They have had years to plan the method" lol you don't imagine how the level of brexit is one fucking hell of a legislative mess.
It's not like they sent everyone else's out, had a break, went on holiday, then came back and sent out the UK ones. They've been sending out batches of orders daily. Someone has to be at the end of the queue, may as well be us idiots that decided blue passports were more important than membership of a customs union and free movement agreement, then voted in increasingly moronic governments to manage things.
Guys, Brexit didn't happen yesterday. It happened in 2016. This kickstarter began and will end in a post-brexit Europe. I don't mind telling you that I voted against leaving, but nonetheless here we find ourselves. Our money folds just the same way as everyone else's.
The point is that 2 or 3 years ago there was no "hard Brexit" or a "soft Brexit", nobody could predict what has finally happened. I guess no one in the UK wanted to see empty stores and petrol stations with hours of queues.
Yeah, the failure to uphold UK-EU trade agreements didn't happen in 2016. The pandemic also didn't happen in 2016.
I would like to remind to avoid as much as possible the political discussion, I understand the frustration, but it can explode in ways I would not like it to do. I also remind that insulting other forum members is not allowed. The recent changes in the EU customs arrangements are recent and not a product of 2016 or a product of whatever year, but a few months at best and will probably change again in the following months. Yes, it can be frustrating to wait and the uncertainty does not help, but, CB does its best to make the shipment to backers as best and economic to backers as it can be.
>supply lines broken >fuel is scarce and precious >only makeshift weapons due to stringent gun control laws >pro truck driver I hope you guys like Mad Max.
I feel like people are forgetting about the (probably insignificant) fact that there was a global pandemic for a year and a half. Lockdown meant that the number of examinations being run for new HGV drivers in 2020-21 fell by over a third. If you have 30,000 less people trained to do a job than usual, you're gonna struggle to fill that job, Brexit or no.
Just got my Platinum Pledge... However, sadly there are some tiles missing in my Core Box (basically, all the cardboard). Now I am overwhlemed by the number of items the pledge has. Sorry if someone already asked this before, not so active in the forum last times... Is there any sort of checklist of what a Platinum pladge should have? I am not asking for precise cards name, but at least the bulk of X Miniatures, 4 card decks, etc. To easily check if my pledge is missing more than the evident cardboards. Also, shall I contact the regular missing parts e-mail? Or is there any contact devoted for Defiance/Kickstarter exclusively? Thanks,
There might be a list in the Kickstarter updates. If you're not in the US then it's the normal mispack email.
Thanks, I know the US Distributor were dealing with some missing/damaged copies of Outcast so I didn't know if that was the case for all mispacks.
Have you checked under the black tray in the bottom of the box? I just unpacked my delivery and dont seem to remember seeing any cardboard in the main box. But I think I read or heard about them being on the bottom? I cant confirm right now, left most of the stuff in the garage.
