Yes, a very, VERY bad idea, to say the least. Bostria mentioned in one of yesterday's videos that it was a mistake.
Dire Foes (Spec Op Characters) will be updated in the UPRISING book. I don't know it it will also include the new generic Spec Ops profiles and rules, but there is a chance.
Oh okay, thanks! Didn't notice that. Although I skimmed through the artwork videos, not really interested in all that.
I think only the missions were stated as going to be updated, and that the background would be there aswell. No mention to the profiles, but a case could be made on both directions, so I will wait for that being ready for the worst.
Because, of course, there wouldn't be any state munitions and weapons factories in the territories that gained their independence in the Uprising...
Care to mention any other dick moves other than splitting JSA from Yu Jing? Accepting that it was a dick move by pretending we know all the reasons and can see into the future about planned developments for Yu Jing that is.
I know people still smarting from the fact that the Exrah were completely removed from the game (one of which is a CA and Yu Jing player so he apparently gets past of his army removed every edition!). They could have made it a lot clearer that Scarface's ITS8 availability was going to be strictly limited to that season too. There are even some people still upset about Ko Dali, but considering her model that was actually a blessing for everyone :P
It would be great if those were in too. They are just such a big incentive to play games that are linked to each other, and I am in general a big fan of including a little RPG flavour.
As a wargamer of over 30 years, playing multiple different systems, I can say without hesitation that CB are lightyears ahead of other mainstream miniature games companies in terms of ethical business practices and community involvement. I don't mean to be dismissive, but those things you mentioned barely register on the dickometer for anyone with any experience of this strange little hobby of ours.
Indeed so, but then they made him available again thanks to the Mercenaries extra (kinda like a reduced presence on ITS, and keeping it for those who wanted to on ITS games not played on tournaments), which made it much more forgivable, and then he is on two Merc sectorials (mind you, he should be on StarCo too...)
The dice helped Bostria and not-Celty to steamroll over the poor not-Killian, so not very interesting battle.
