Unless you're willing to 1. glue all my minis and 2. pay me for losing the pleasure of doing this myself, it's very much related to the pleasure of assembly in my eyes. There's so much difference that yes, merely not working with plastic glue makes plastic a lot worse for me.

In the end this is what it comes down to. If I get a Vostok and it turns out the faults of the new material are negligible compared to its advantages for me as a modeler/player, I'm willing to publicly recant my bitching.

If you get a Vostok, get the scuba-dude. It's iconic.

There is also the "Zissou", which is from that Bill Murray movie, "Life Aquatic".

Thumbs up from me, mostly interested in the ability to repose and convert models.

CB's rules are sometimes a little wonky, but I have a high degree of faith in their sculpts. If they say the plastic is good, then it's good until I see hard evidence to the contrary.

Might be worth a message on the product box re; plastic glue and that fancy other glue.

So it's a big surprise to me, but as I already wrote elsewhere, Corvus Belli makes the best metal minis on the market and if you're doing the plastics at home, then - even though I love and prefer metal - I understand your decision and am rather sure that the quality of casts will be great :)
It's nice that we had some informations about the material, because that's what I'm mostly wondering about - if this plastic will be good to work with. I'll have to try it myself ;)

Since @Koni and @Bostria are reading... Weapons sprues would be a good use for this new technology. We've been asking for them for eons now, epochs even. It could even help with the SKU bloat, come to think of it.

In the future it could also really help with kitbashing minis for campaign events or sessions of the RPG.

I can't believe I missed this until now. I'm really looking forward to this. I've always wanted their TAGs to be in plastic due to their size and weight. I have faith they are not going to skimp on quality.

Looks like it's going to be a long time before Yu Jing has has much in plastic. I suppose we could get Long Ya. They already have the new REM and probably the only TAGs we're ever going to get. So this might not affect some players for a long time to come.

Nomad REMs are plastic so Long Ya is probably a guarantee to be plastic.

I'm cautiously optimistic with it, as long as Polaris is nice enough. I'm not a Nomad guy, so I'll leave the testing to you folks before TAGRaid. :)

Right. But after that, unless they are revising other figures like the Rui Shi, or Lu Duan, there's not going to be anything for a long time. Haqq still has the Shakush, the last TAG not done, but there's really not many "big" figures left. I think almost all factions have new remotes at this time.

I mean I really hope our Lu Duan and Rui Shi get redone, Pangos too while they're at it.

I'm guessing the general release version of the TAG RAID kickstarter models will be this new plastic too.

Doing the big, heavy stuff in plastic appears to be the best of both worlds. I've actually put off purchasing a Jotum because I've seen it in pieces and it terrifies me.

Jotum is pretty good actually, it has nice big chunky joints with plenty of space for scoring, and the armour plates socket pretty easily.

Looks like Siocast molds, formulates like Siocast material... they can hide under Unicast or CB Product Solutions... but they will quack anyway.

New tech... lower prices to make the products more affordable? Naaah, be happy it stays the same for now.

It would had helped if you would be more open about what it is from the start. Mostly because we can see the material properties in other places now, but assume it would be CB quality casting. If it is Siocast, it will be obvious once people buy the first units and compare. So far it has been too many "fuck, PVC", "fuck, no detail" and then rescued by a materials engineer.

To add, from what I know, it should be posible to strip common paints without damaging it (a bath of alcohol for acrylics). Probably even using acetone like with metals, and unlike HIPS.

And now that we have you around, any idea what Finecast was? Because people tell all kind of horror stories about stripping it.
