I just say the potential for a human sphere book or expansion for N4, although it could be something for the background on their new website. The idea got me thinking though, and since there isn't much news for Aleph at the moment, what would you like to see added or changed. Aleph is a powerful faction, with out a doubt, I feel as if they are almost stuck behind the times in their sectorials in terms of flexible fireteams.
That's been there ages, it's the background/fluff section of the website that's still in construction.
Steel Phalanx HI wearing Hoplite armor ( I believe that is what the armor class that Achilles V2 and Hector wear is called if I remember correctly ) called Spartans.
Doesn't fit too well with the Homeric period currently in use though. Sparta's heyday was roughly 800 years later.
I’d love to see the Deva hacker profiles get a pitcher. OSS seems to be one of the only “hacking” factions to still be missing a linkable pitcher. Alternatively, the Danavas could join a fireteam, but that would really reduce the viability of the Deva hacker. I’d also love to see dakinis (or a Deva, I suppose) get a tinbot -6. I don’t understand how the human faction with the best tech, that relies on linked remotes in frontline combat, doesn’t have a tinbot. Especially because those remotes are often tasked with hunting nomads and rogue AI...who are all really good at hacking. Midfield repeaters on a Naga would also be great. If I’m reaching for the stars, the ability to put a Yadu (or an Asura) into a Dakini core would be nice to have. Not that I don’t like OSS. Just wish listing.
I would like to see those changes, would like it if the Dasyus got the repeaters. Nagas are already good and the mk 2 still outshines the poor Dasyus. The Asura could use an AP spitfire, or a way to get a good cheep harris like the Shas HI.
If a Human Sphere book comes out, I'd expect for it to be the Rules Annex, loaded with examples and clarifications, and 60-70 pages of background, considering most of the rules from HSN3 were moved to the Core Book... 1) at best, if any troop capable to go into marker state gets a repeater, it will be a deployable repeater. 2) Proxy Mk2 no longer outshines Dasyus, she lost Hidden Deployment, making the proxy Mk2 the most obvious marker of all Aleph (camo marker with Mimetism -6). If it's in the back, it has a sniper rifle. If it's in the front, it will try to hack... with BTS 0. Linkable pitcher: a Dakini. It fits more. Linkable Tinbot: a Deva (hacker or not, it wouldn't be the first troop to not be a hacker but carry a tinbot. It would be the first "non-HI" to do so (but the Evaders are a HI of 1W+NWI anyway...). I agree the Asura needs to have the Spitfire upgraded to something, since right now I would pick the MULTI rifle 90% of the time, and use the Mk3 for the Spitfire AP. Anyway, Aleph won't get a revamp until 2022... since the last to go into Code1 will be Aleph & Haqquislam (unless they decide to place NA2 or sectorials in Code1...). My bet would be a greeks Vs Qapu, unless Corvus decides to produce new Sectorials for Aleph & Haqq.
Yeah, not repeater as equipment the deployable kind. The pitcher should be on either a unit like the deva hacker or the rem driver. Also please all the MI needs help, all three of their units are from kinda bad to just awful.
Aspara (REM Driver Profile only) would be a great spot to drop another pitcher, but it isn't linkable. With the Danavas already in place I think it would be better for balance and such to have a linkable pitcher on a non-hacker profile.
The return for jumper in the rem driver apsara would be great and powerful. A mini dakini as tinbot would be cool as hell! Holomask and wildcard for shukra to hide your strategos Leutnant. As it is now it has a huge target pinned to it's back. Like the well known: "kick me" note. Something with nanoscreen would be cool too. Maybe a proxy?
