Those 15% who don`t want it are either in jail or packing the things for a journey to Dawn. Deus Vult
Because apparently they like it or think it's cool. I just disagree lol. Except that someone did. Which is who I quoted. Which is why I'm explaining.
Ah yes, the good old crusades. I hear the Russians and Catholics didn't like us crusading back then... so close to killing the Pope. So close. Next time... Oh, wait, you're talking about those few crusades into non-Christian lands? Count me out.
I use to live in Japan and I can 100% tell you this isn't true. It's not like they're running around dressed as them wanting to go back to that culture but it's not just "Right-wing nut jobs" that have any interested in Japanese history or that time period. And guess what there's both styles in JSA, just like Pan-O has crusaders and non-crusaders. So I'm not really sure what you're point is there. This is really getting to be a silly argument over what's more or less hats. When Japanese do their take on Western Culture it's no more different then what CB is doing. Adding their spin on what they view interesting. And it's no more offensive to the majority of us then having some heavy armored sci-fi samurai in a table top game is to them.
The existing Shinobu sculpt is one of the great standout miniatures of pre-N3. However... it is tiny scale wise, and is super fiddly. They have more technical ability with the N3 sculpting. The fear is that the art aspect of a resculpt might be a misfire or even merely good and not great. But on the other hand if they did pull it off with the elevated N3 technical capacity it would be a legendary sculpt... Personally, what I'd really like is for them to try to resculpt her in N3 and then just pull the plug if the artistic side of the resculpt fall short. Which is a big ask for a company spending the owners' money. Maybe there could be some sort of kickstarter arrangement? For sculpts like the autocannon tank hunter or Shinobu, which likely sell very well and so it doesn't make any business sense to pay artists to try and get lightning in a bottle a second time. Like we put up the money to fund a resculpt attempt, and get the result. If they deem the result to be worthy of replacing the original, then that happens. If it wasn't quite worthy then it simply ends up being an OOP miniature the kickstarter people have and CB didn't burn the owners' money on a long shot. Basically a patron of the arts situation and not a consumer situation. Art doesn't always work out and it isn't anyone's fault.
I don't know why people are saying that Neko isn't up to standard of the Infinity. He is one of my favorite sculpts in the JSA range. As to the rice hats, or Jingasa, or whatever they are, while I think they look dumb, when the shikami was first shown, a lot of posters wished for the rice hats. I feel it is just CB giving their fans what they perceive they want. The nice thing about infinity, is that there is a lot of different takes on miniatures, and almost every profile can fit somewhere, so just buy the figures you like, and skip the ones you don't. I have only bought miniatures I liked, and then assembled lists from what I have, and have had a fair amount of luck in my local group.
can it with the history talk, nerds, or its swirlies all around Edit: forget the second half of this message
Yea but that is real life, I am talking about years in the future in fantasy land. The idea is your identity has been suppressed and you just latch on to something. You have been used as cannon fodder by an foreign empire who is not above changing your history as they see fit to meet certain traits. Its not out of the question. Especially when you might be told things were different than reality. Even in real life cultural shifts do take hold as well.
As Carlos mentionned it, you can see that some weapons have PanO shapes. So this leave us the hope that PanO will receive those lovely declinations of MMR. Just hoping that this won't be in the same funny way as it is now with Feuerbarch. FGA is a PanO company CB, so let them sell some FGA weapons to PanO armies, please.
A suggestion for CB and Bostria: next campaing, JSA could score for PanO. They need the help, and it goes nicely with CB's usual politics. Then, next book JSA can be a PanO sectorial, because "now they have space for one"
From what little fluff that was readable in the first BoW video it sounded like the JSA was based on Earth. If that holds out to be true, again not much was readable, that would be the first Earth army which I find interesting as CB has tried to stay away as much as possible (not a bad thing TBH since there are all these other new planets to play with).
In the Battlebox and Beyond video Bostria says that Yuriko Oda bring the JSA box up to 250pts so we can assume the box is ~225pts. I think this is the first confirmation of how many points it is. He also says that the Uprising book will have the Dire Foes "full content". Does this mean all the missions and background compiled or are we looking at extra stuff?
