Thought I'd put this hear since they are available to a wide range of forces. There's no new PDFs showing fire team status. As of now in Army they have Duo and Haris in all of the forces and AVA 4.

At first I thought that these were not needed in some of the forces but I kept looking at the 22pt. guy. the +1 B Pulzar and E/M grenades are pretty nice.

If they are Haris and can have wildcards here's some that can mix in. I see where they could be good "body guards" for Hawkwood, Carano, Pavarti, Wolff, Pavarti, Tian Gou.

    White Company
    Hawkwood
    Haidao
    Valerya Gromoz

    Starmada
    Shona Carano
    Pavarti
    PSI-Cops
    Tian Gao

    Bakunin
    Vostok
    Tsyclon
    Wolfgang

    Winterfor
    Karhu
    Richard Quinn
    Uma Sorensen
    Gunnar Lundmark

Quick note but until the sectorial charts are updated, they have the Fireteam skills, but not the actual ability to form fireteams.

Their entries in the new sectorials are lazy copy-pastes of their Tohaa entry, which itself was a lazy copy-paste of their Spiral Corps entries (they changed the AVA from 3->4 but did not remove the now-useless Fireteam skills).

Why White Company, Bakunin, Starmada or SWF can take 4 Longarms while their home sectorial can only take 3 makes no sense, and I would take both their current AVA and any Fireteam hopes with a massive grain of salt.

Is it just a copy paste or is that just a giant assumption?

Because as soon as the current ITS season started Hellouise said Army is king with regards to fireteam skills. So as long as they have haris as a skill in Army, they have the skill haris and can haris.

AVA 3 or 4, the profiles are still really lacking. But looks like it will follow the pattern of other sectorials getting better fire team options than the home sectorial.

    Giant assumption born of salt.

I would very much like a source for Koni's statement, as this is the first I've heard of it, and AFAIK armies like Starmada and White Company are still not allowed to make a Haris of Varangians.

It says right on their product page for Longarms they can duo and haris for all the new factions they are in.

Also few people have seen the Koni quote because like much of CB's rules they are buried in forum posts.

Ok I see the Fireteam options listed on the store page, that's a cool feature.

I'm still skeptical of Koni stating that Army is now a definitive source for Fireteams, considering all of the other unresolved bugs in it, and the product page doesn't exactly count as official rules text, but it seems that once everything is properly hashed out they will be able to form Harises and Duos.

That makes them quite a bit more usable, though it rubs me the wrong way that they have more flexible fireteam options while working as Mercs than they do in either Tohaa or Spiral Corps, factions known for having flexible fireteams.

    Beautiful, cheers mate.

@HellLois was this officially implemented? I know it was planned, but want to double check that it was put into effect.

I know my buddy who plays Starmada will love being able to run a Varangian + Psi-Cop Haris.

@Geodron the date of this post is from the passage from N3 to N4, with the update in Feb of the Sectorial Charts with MO, I'd bet it's expired :/

Context is king. In the case of that post, please take into account it was made with the release of N4, and that the Sectorial charts were at the time in N3 values, it took a few weeks to to stabilize everything.

I would say that the sectorial charts still being on the rules resources section, and updated in February 2021 with the latest MO releases mark a definitive end to said post.

The problem with the forum is that even if a staff post becomes obsolete, rarely, if ever, gets taken down or edited.

    Update made to AVA3.

For me and WC I might like to try this as a way to get a specialist across the field.
