Just in time to receive the last RPG book!

It's been hinted that YJ will "deploy his Invincibles" to stabilize things. Which is weird if we are looking at a Gencon release... Kinda hard to have an epic battle (even one with a foretold conclusion, namely a success for the JSA, which can be explained with tons of backdeals between PanO and other factions to "take down YJ a peg"... and opening the door for the same thing happening to PanO) when only one faction is on the battlefield.

It was real cool but it happened off screen so you just have to believe Kempai-sama as to the details.

This. There's trolling that makes prople go "shit you got me, you clever bastard" and there's trolling that will make people spit in your face.

Whoa not even half way through an Infinity week and the toys are flying out of the pram at breakneck speed.

Maybe cut back in the threats of physical violence and stop taking toy soliders ao seriously until the week is done and all info is revealed.

Right now your not doing the community reputation any favours especially the guy who’s posting rants in every BOW video

More like cupboard and cruiser speed. Bang, all my non-ikari JSA sold.

And some people have invested a lot time and money into these "toy soldiers" for you to be so dismissive about them.

Infinity is supposed to be entertaining, not frustrating. Right now for some people it is extremely frustrating.

Life would move on and so would players as they went to a different game. Reputation is huge in this industry and this is a worrying trend. The cardinal rule is you don't screw with peoples mini collections unless you absolutely have to. When you do, you have to make sure you treat those players with care and give them a reason for their mini collections.

Someone else pointed it out, but lets recap the communication decision tree on this one:

We are going to do something drastic, but don't worry things will be fine.

YJ is gonna lose a few models, but it won't be bad.

YJ is going to lose everything, but Ninjas.

Main spokesman basically laughs at YJ "cry babies", implying they should just spend more money.

This is terrible marketing and a callous treatment of loyal customers. I don't even play YJ and it makes me wary of starting that Onyx Contact Force I have always wanted. Most of this negative reaction was pretty avoidable as well, but just communicating properly with the player base.

Instead people are going to refer to every mistake CB makes with "well remember how they screwed over YJ players".

If your impulse selling your Yu-Jing that’s your choice I’d personally hang onto them and snap up any deals you see online.

It’s also you’re choice to get so worked up about this without having all the information. I don’t even have it all but I’d still find it incredibly stupid to get this angry this early.

Also is it too much to ask to stop taking things so personally that you’d spit in the face of a company rep?

That is one way to look at it, others praise the move and the plot advance, some people like Bostria's comments, others do not.

I have no issue with such changes if it is backed with a good story, I need to move my JSA to a new case though....

Not my YJ. My JSA. They are different armies now, I've been told.

And most of the frustration comes mainly due to not having information.
Uncertainty on how bad something will be is not good.

Given the vitriol here I find that hard to believe.

I've worked as a company rep, specifically one tasked with receiving defect products and mishandled orders. There's one thing I've always wondered: who does customers spew vitriol over when the company treads all over them? Voicing criticism is difficult, especially when as a customer you are emotionally more exposed to the problem, and who you get to talk to is someone in a role to shield the decision-makers from criticisms over their actions.
I always found it difficult to be upset when someone insulted me, personally, when I knew that at the end of the day I'd go home and forget their distress and never pass it forward to anyone. (Naturally I was a tiny bit paranoid about running into someone who'd remember me and see the individual instead of the company as being at fault, but that's about it.)

I don't like the overall extremely negative tone this thread has taken on now, but this still made me chuckle so I had to comment...you seriously think PanO playerbase would just "move on" if for example Military order split themselves off, and just for the laughs, Jeanne D'Arc got killed in the process? Somehow I have my doubts people would find that funny either....or if say all Svalarheima units suddenly left, leaving PanO without Nisse or Jotuns or whatever else belongs to that....and that's for PanO, who have the most Sectorials...

Frankly I doubt any faction out there would just "take it and move on"....and still that's exactly what I'll be doing *lol* but that's just cause I love JSA, and have rather little playtime, so my next half a years worth of playtime would have been JSA anyways, no matter if Yu Jing Vanilla now sucks or not...

I was actually pretty ok with all of this after my initial doubts untill Bostria laughed at my face

Your taking things way to personally. Take a step back and look at the context.

Vanilla Yu Jing lost a bunch of profiles it didn't use too often. New sectorials have been released and they will make Corvus win monies. Bostria told YJ players to go play IS and that this will be a bad year for the faction save for IS getting "something".

How are we supposed to take this?

I personally I would not care that much, even if it was MO, though admittedly if MO left PanO nobody in Vanilla would notice, but hey details.

Again for vanilla Yu Jing it is a loss of 16 profiles were only 6 were used and from these 2 are Ninja but better and one can be substituted with Lunah the others are cheaper options for what Yu Jing already have.

Yes, I understand the loss, I do not think it is a grave loss though and it will be substituted in the future with other sectorials.

I can't of course speak for other PanO players, but I wouldn't mind such big changes at all. Hell, I'd welcome them, if they'd bring some updates to both things leaving the faction and those left behind. The only thing I really wouldn't like would be a large part of army getting the Exrah treatment and disappearing from the game altogether.

So - yeah, basically I'd just take it move on.

I was going to preorder the new JSA box... but all this makes me think that 2 possibilities exists: one, I will be in for more surprises, so I better spend only when I absolutely have to. And two, that it is quite possible that JSA won't receive anything new for a long time.
I will keep sniping models from YJ to add to my collections, however. Maybe the Kuroshi rider and the Ryuken 9 will find their way to me if they get out of the full box.

Aleph players like me probably would, most people use greek units in Vedic lists as escorts and smokers, Agemas for the MSV2 and long range, and Achilles for a melee "TAG"... Well, and the specops, or a cheap Thorakitai engineer (I prefer Dakinis as Cheerleaders, specially for the supressive fire).

MO has even less footprint in vanilla than JSA did, without too much knowledge in vanilla design, I guess at Joan and TOFOOS for the most part.

More equivalent from a game balance perspective would probably be if NCA got rolled up into 0-12 and took Fusiliers, Aquila, Uhlan, Swiss and Locusts with them.
