Peripheral rule prevents the Devabot or it's controller from joining a Fireteam or being in a coordinated order.

Devas doesn't have fireteam haris in NCA, see https://assets.infinitythegame.net/downloads/secotrialsn4/all/v1.1/secotrialsn4.zip

Also, remember that peripherals cannot be member of any fireteam or coordinated order.

Question here: After the last comment I wondered why the Deva in NCA have the Number 2 rule if they don't have a Fireteam option.

This also looks like in the beginning of N4 they still had it. Did it get changed?

    The basic Profile got it.
You just can't use it in NCA, Devas don't have any Link options there at the moment.

NCA did get a barebones N4 update like a lot of other Sectorials and will most likely get a full N4 review on their rerelease (whenever that will be).

I noticed that with the additional HRL black friar profile that it and the multi rifle say FTO on them. It says that not just in the MO update but also in NCA, but the fireteam text still just says that the multi rifle version is wildcard. Is this still the case or does the fireteam chart need to be updated for NCA to include a HRL wildcard?

With current rules the only wildcard is the Multi version

It's worth pointing out that in MO neither FTO version is a Wildcard, they can only join a Crozier Fireteam so they could be intentionally different.

Possibly, I’m sure it’s just easier to copy/paste profiles from one sectoral to another, hell even vanilla has FTO in those loadouts lol, and you could make a drinking game for new players asking why they have fireteam rules in vanilla for a long time. But I’d rather ask about it now since they do link in MO and if it turns out the new profile can in NCA, cool. If not, then we know what to say if the question comes up again lol.

Crossing my fingers on that Black Friar HRL, could see some real use for that thing in a link...

It's good, but it's not peak-tier ARO good. And always remember that, for PanO, anything which isn't peak-tier good in shooting is just dead (even if it doesn't know it yet).

Especially these days, where peak-tier shooting is far more common outside PanO than it used to be, you need your AROs to be just as strong as your key shooters (or cheap and totally disposable, there as speedbumps and not even hoping to survive).

Dunno, the Blackfriar is one more useful tool in Neoterra. We don't have a capable MSV2 ARO piece at the moment. Especially not for Fusiliers.
The Bolt Sniper may be excellent, but also requires a Bolt Core for full effectiveness.

I can certainly see a use for a MSV2 ARO piece to stack with Swiss MLs and Hexa MSRs against Camo heavy lineups, or just as a budget alternative to the Orc Feuerbach, trading steady output and durability for (often) better FTF.

Sixth Sense is odd to have on him, but comes in handy for a Haris to upgrade him to 4 man boni and deny Stealth.

That's assuming he will end up with the same Fireteam option as the other FTO.

I actually honestly don't think that's true dependent on mission. Anything that's slow scoring (i.e. end of game, particularly things like Acquisition or mid table objectives or kill oriented missions) it's completely reasonable to just fill your DZ with DTWs and just say if you want them come and get it.

I've had pretty reasonable results just hiding my shit behind a wall of Monks and Kuang Shi with Yu Jing and literally offering no long range hard ARO. It might seem kinda memey on the surface but I think you could produce similar results spamming Auxilia with the added bonus of the Auxbots not causing order loss everytime they trade out against something that tries for DZ incursion.

If an NCA list is running 6 heavy flamethrowers between 4-6 Auxilia and/or Peacemakers I think many opponents will feel very uncomfortable trying to figure out how to facilitate some kind of rambo into your lines, on turn 1 anyway.

I'm not sure "I don't put up AROs at all so there's nothing to kill at range" is as good an argument against my point as you seem to think.

There are good reasons why spamming Auxilia dropped out of fashion with the end of N2. Competition is one of those, but another is the fact that the opportunity cost of getting the number of AuxBots onto the table to duplicate that effect is significant.

While that may be true, you'll have a hard time building a lot else into your list once you've made that investment. I've had a go at it and I've never been happy with what I end up with.

Going from my games with MO, the Blackfriar HRL is really good if you are going first, since it denies a lot of options smoke would give to the opponent and having a TO Sniper stacked somewhere on top or on another part of the map is very formidable. It's not a Kamau or a Bagh Mari, but it's still very useful and relatively cheap.

Actually, speaking of this, how are people liking the NCA Black Friar overall in N4? I know the MI Movement issues in N3 made them kind of a bummer, but the FTO option seems like a decent bargain replacement for the Aquilla in a Fusilier Core if you're low on points. Sniper's still a pretty basic MSV2 Sniper, and seems a little SWC pricey in a faction that thirsts for SWC.

I'm still having a hard time using anything other then the FTO MR, generally with a full fusilier ML core, 2 swiss guards and the hexa MSR, the rest depends. Used it once as a solo MSR MSV2 but it got uterly destroyed by an avatar and I never tried it again...
I do feel like it has potential but I never feel satisfied to put in the 1.5 swc
