imagine being so economically illiterate that you actually think that’s a joke, as well as those liking this.
Okay, I see the problem you are having now. You think wealth fare is socialism...... Also, no medication is not cost capped, it’s subsided partially depending on how frequently you use it. Again, none of this shit is socialism and you keep saying that doesn’t make it true. PS: we are at a point were you're unironically calling red Republican states for Socialist states, yet you're the one with a condescending tone. This is actually embarrassing to watch.
Imagine being so economically illiterate AND such a poor debater that you try to ignore that there is data supporting both sides of this issue.
Imagine, that we supposed to talk about fantastic space Chinese with history, that is less science, but still fiction.
TBH I think that YJ is in a more solid place than people say. Looking at a lot of the complaints, I would encourage people to try to be a bit more inventive with lists, and try stuff out. If you've put a unit down on the table a dozen times and it always underperforms, then at least you can back it up with some experience. Theoryhammering is bad times.
"Socialism: a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.: [Also] policy or practice based on the political and economic theory of socialism." Policy can be socialist while a state is largely some other system. This is the point of the whole argument that we are having, which you have been trying to nuh-unh your way out of every time you get pinned down. I CLEARLY DID NOT claim any American states are socialist. I said farm subsidies were, and still are where they go to individuals. Really, you need to stop with straw man arguments, you suck at them. Government intervention to cap commodity costs for social purposes is socialist practice. Your medical practice fees are negotiated between the physicians' union and the government health insurance scheme annually. And even then, the subsidy is a socialist intervention itself. Direct payments from capital owners (employers and taxpayers) to people without incomes is textbook wealth redistribution, in a functional and basic form. Welfare is a socialist activity, very basic. That you question this makes me wonder whether you -went- to school, or are just attempting to hover into right-wing political heaven on the basis of sheer denial.
Mate, I'm a constructional engineer who is employed as a project manager. I manage a workforce between 25 - 85 construction workers on a daily basis, as well as budget of several million kroners on each entreprise. I have several sub-contractors who couldn't be where they were today if they didn't had an extra guy willing to work below "minimum wage" for a small period of time, so they could score a big contract and earn, thus expanding and getting a higher salery. My daily life is permeated by workforce, timeline management and economics, so what are your fucking credentials again? Right now I'm speaking to socialist LARPer, who works as a translator in Poland and I have no fucking idea what you're doing, except citing wikepedia articles, while calling Republican states for socialist states. Remind me again why I should take you seriously and why it is you believe there's "data" for your argument?
You're a sociopath who openly endorsed violence of people you disagree with, why are you assuming a moral high ground here?
Very few complaints have been about competitiveness, most have been thematic. And for some of us, theory's all we've had for a year because going outside is literally the same as slicing old people's throats.
I mean you can play on TTS. But also I would say, if theory is all you have to go on, that's not much. I feel like YJ is one of the most thematically interesting factions there is! But I would disagree that most of the complaints are about theme. They are largely about rules and profiles and such.
Regarding the minimum wage, do a basic literature search. TLDR is that it depends on the relationship between the minimum wage and cost of living in the location. If it was way too low, business owners also benefit (local spending effect). If the minimum wage covered cost of living, it cut into profitability but rarely tanked anything. Don't take my word for it, read the London School of Economics paper about how the minimum wage increase affected small business in different areas of the UK in the mid-2000s. Or any of the other hundreds of papers on the subject, which are like a dartboard for results and full of, yes, "data." Regarding arguments from authority, you know we should probably just evaluate the value of arguments based on the arguments, rather than "I dun my time bruh." But since this is my wheelhouse too, sure. Spoiler: Me Now: Masters 2 in European Business Management here in France. Small-business biz nerd who's helped bring revenue from 60K € three years ago to about 2.5 million € this year, publishing board games. 7 employees, that again in contractors, fun hybrid business model that we are always tweaking between crowdfunding and distribution sales. This is the fun, play-with-the-business period of my career. It's small scale and I love it. Before: Ten years in the American medical industry. Project management and program management for contractors doing medical software for the US Veterans Administration and the Indian Health Service, budgets in the tens of millions of $ annually. The "last straw" that made me leave was when the company that makes Predator drones scooped us on a bid because they decided to "do healthcare" that year. Worked with a nonprofit that modernized a bunch of rural hospitals, which is where the hard work happened. Favorite thing, helped bring up the healthcare software backbone of the Kingdom of Jordan's medical system... those guys are awesome, doing things with 1/100th the budget of US healthcare that big US firms say is impossible. Anyways, yes I have small business management experience, spent some time studying regulation and political economics here in Europe, and worked in the places where government and healthcare converge in 'Murrica and do terrible things. Boxes checked, we can both be in this conversation. Regarding your own career, that sounds cool. It does not qualify you, any more than my career qualifies me, as an authority in this discussion about the nature or success of social welfare, socialism, and social democracy. That's why we need to have better arguments, and sources when we need anything outside those arguments. Memes do not count.
YJ is good overall. But for a faction that looks like it is supposed to be jack of all trades we lack quite a bit of tools (while still paying the price of being average at most of these things with bloated/unoptimised units): Absolutely no Eclipse. No White Noise. No Pitchers. No bikes. No impersonation. No upgrades for our hackers. No 15 WIP hackers. 2 units with smoke, one of them does it on 11s within 16", the other is good but when you compare 6 point shaolin to 6 point morlok then you feel sad. Bunch of our cool units are bloated so fielding them requires sacrifices that other factions often don't have to make. Overall gaining more weird non optimised toolboxes is what I would prefer the most.
Sorry everyone who was here for the YuJing and @psychoticstorm that I triggered the fellow travelers. We already had the red warning before @Savnock jumped in to preach the wonders of socialist thought and to tell us we’re ignorant for not agreeing, @Nuada Airgetlam threw around “fascist” without knowing what it is (but he knows it when he sees it) and @Solar couldn’t resist an out of context personal attack. All because I said socialists aren’t the good guys. I’ve been convinced I was wrong. Spoiler Socialists being the good guys has never been tried.
Then why are you liking a mentally retarded post by Nuada regarding minimum wage? That actually makes it worse, you're agreeing to something when you should know better.
I don't necessarily have a problem with constructive discussion re. competitive performance but I do think that there is a way to do it that is positive and constructive and a way to do it that is not, and I tend to see the latter here more.
This ones I like most. I wondered from the start of WB why the signature weapon of the Jujaks is a flamethrower, but apart from that they are Zuyongs with a bulky armor suit. I think this looks like its designed to wistand fire! Okay I add my WB wishlist here: Zhanshi - AVA Total Okatvia - let her count as Zhanshi for fireteams - so she is still a squishy ML, but a scary one Add - Aida, because of Okatavia Add ImmShock to Adil, he can handle is chronic arm wound, so he would be able to handle a shock round remove +1" dodge if, that helps to keep the cost. Make Jing a wildcard (or keep her with the monks, but make them at least haris linkable) Remove wildcard form Lei, make him count as Zhanshi instead. Give Ye Mao core (and release the hacker) or make them wildcard Remove cpt Gao I know you will not give us the HMG Daofei back, his removal hurts (especialy me, because I painted him up not so long ago) a lot, so fast after he got a resculpt, so please hurry up and bring the hacker and to make it heal, give him something special, I do not see carbo +1 B so far. Jujaks - see above, make them core, they should be the HI core in WB Shang Ji - remove wildcard and core, make them: up two 2 can be add to Zhanshi or Jujak fireteam Release Shang Ji HMG with tinbot Release Yaofang! Remove the letters FTO from the last Pangu entry or make it realy an FTO Allow Liang Kai to be added to a core - choose one ;-) add Hac Tao
They should just do it, it's a 5 second job with zero balance impact, but immediately improves the value of the collections of everyone who bought beyond Red Veil, and gives an uncommon thing to Yu Jing.
Jujak: Immunity (Continuous Damage). That's what the armor is for isn't it? They need something other than just Courage, less CC and a HFT to be different from a Zuyong. Edit: sorry forgot Zuyong has Number 2 but that's only in IA of course.
