It might turn out they have no choice, unfortunately, but that will be a shitty situation for UK backers indeed. If I were CB, I'd rather eat the costs than drop them onto the UK customers and lose a lot of good will. But since IIRC the VAT + Customs is about another 30-40% of the pledge+shipment value (gross package worth), then this might be CB losing a lot of money on Brexit. All depends on how many people from the UK backed Defiance. They might be also waiting about a month for the previously announced changes / updates to the UK/EU trade agreements which might sort this thing out for retail customers who aren't mass importers of goods. It's a huge unknown what the negotiations will end up on and when they will be resolved and new laws start acting.
An email address for asking regarding my pledge status? Thanks in advance... I did not receive any communication directly from CB
VAT must be paid (the new UK laws are pretty similar to the EU 1 January 2021 changes... I would even say UK just kept what has been drafted over past decade while being EU member). Custom taxes, if rate not 0%, * must be paid, most pledges are above 135 pounds (I thought UK-EU would be all 0%... but another Brexit "misreport"?). That is the law. So customer pays or company figures how to pay and eats the cost. *: Could someone that still has the boxes around check if there is any tariff code printed in them? Maybe something starting with 95 04 or 95 03. What they can figure is a way to avoid customers getting the ransom bill. IE, find a courier that will not charge the customer for the "service", and will bill CB a small amount for all the packages. Maybe by shipping all combined in some pallets and then having someone reship from inside UK. Announced where? IIRC the goods part is done, and what needs changes (or more like getting done instead of extending EU rules even more) is the services part of the deal. Or maybe wait for UK to join the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership and send via Australia. :P
Can we have an updated list of the core box content ? I counted the number of cards and it doesn't fit the picture above : i have 79 equimpent cards (vs 82), 15 software cards (vs 12)
Noticed a few errors while solo testing mission 1. Someone was talking about a missing connector in mission 5? but there are actually a missing connector already in mission 1. There are no connector between A12 and A11 so not possible to exit the room our heroes start in. There are also two console 1 and no console 2.
I don’t have the mission booklet handy, but you basically encounter the consoles in numeric order. In other words, the second Console 1 is Console 2. :)
They did say they're working on a list, but I just assume the 3 software cards with Jazz's picture on them were counted as "equipment" rather than "software" and are her starting set.
List is on the bottom of the box. Just careful about flipping the box over to read it. You may not like the results. A breakdown of the cards I posted elsewhere, but I'll repost here. There are 53 large (magnum) cards and 327 mini cards. The overall card count is on the bottom of the core game box, where a list of the box contents may be found. I have all 327 cards, counted as follows: Equipment 79 (82) Initiative 47 (47) A.I. 16 (16) State 8 (8) Loot 16 (16) Consequence 28 (28) Installation 12 (13) Ally 15; Billie, Gaspar, Duchess and the 2 survivors are ally cards) Software 15 (12) Upgrade 13 (13) Specialty 78 (78) The number in parenthesis is the *original* number that were to be included. CB added 3 software cards and removed 3 equipment and 1 installation card. Of the 53 large cards: Structure 4 Console 4 Unit 45 Hope this helps. It is an odd number of cards too, considering how cards are printed, at least playing cards ( 110 cards/sheet or 2 sets of 55.) ETA: My Control-V fu is weak. redid the copy from this post https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threa...ce-missing-cards-checklist.38896/#post-385363 to list all the cards. It agrees with what CB just released too, so that's nice.
Mission 9 also seems to be missing connectors. Both between A11 and A13 but also between A13 and A14.
Quick question regarding the reinforcement pack : are they wave 2 or 1 ? I ordered a JSA pack but didn't get it in my wave 1 order
All Wave 2 Edit: I think they said in a previous update that the Reinforcement pack miniatures were sent to the Chinese factory in the same shipment as the Outcast & Revenant minis.
My guess is to balance production, Expansions & Reinforcement Packs probably equaled similar numbers of miniatures to produce as Core & Collectors.
I rather meant sending them to China rather than having the Chinese partners send printed packaging and doing it in house. Maybe they didn't mind the additional cost and delay, but it's weird with a -50% box.
From a Logistics standpoint it means they're guaranteed to get to the US and AUS distribution centres at the same time as the rest of Wave 2 and avoids racking up Warehouse/Storage fees. The last thing you want is half the pledge sitting in someone else's warehouse costing you money every day because of a delayed boat. It also avoids having to send shipments from Spain to the US/AUS locations, and gets the miniatures out of their own warehouse.
Have any Canadian backers received their copies yet? I heard the US got some of theirs but I haven't even gotten an e-mail about it or anything.
If I heard right, Canadian backers got theirs pre-EU Wave, with the US shipment. Contact CB via email and ask directly.
