I just checked it out and it is from the author Sholem Aleichem/Solomon Naumovich Rabinovich who's stories of Tevye the Dairyman later became famously known in the play "Fiddler on the Roof".
To my great shame i didn't get a lot of hobbytime in. Between starting a new job and having a toddler it's quite hard to find the time and or energy to get down to business. Unemployment had it's perks I guess :D I need the knowledge that I have some undisturbed time to paint. So my druze (90%finished) are staring at me waiting for me to finish their weapons an osl. It's been 3 weeks since I touched a brush. So I won't pledge a whole lot in this thread even if I'd like. To bring another German saying: "Asche über mein Haupt!"
I'm not good with anything religion related so I won't find myself stupid here. On the counter part, I'm aware of the Fiddler On The Roof piece, so I guess my general culture level is not that low ^^. Been off work (not unemployed) for 6 months since March and if I'm "back to work" I've spend most time doing home office and I've learned this week that the new office we should move into won't be leased until the sanitary situation evolved (no need to go to the office, no need of office, company money saved) and had raised my painting amount only when I was actually in vacation for 3 weeks. So I totally agree with the peace of mind needed. Funny, we use the Latin locution "Mea Culpa" and don't really have a French expression for this.
I Was finally able to finish the four miniatures i started in december. I really like the Models and tried to do them justice. Stayed pretty close to the studiosheme but adapted it for me. I rellay like these helmets. And now a little taste of things to hopefully come in february to finish up my mercs: The sassy lady to the left will be a sniper or marksmanrifle since the yu jing marksmanrifle looks a lot like a sniper rifle. Octavia will be a Hunzakut. Should i switch the axe for an anitpersonel mine in her hand?
