It’s been quiet here for a while so... What is your favorite OSS haris and why? What haris have you always wanted to use but can’t make work? Which model do you wish would fit into a haris but you can’t quite figure out?
The Haris I want to try but haven't put on the table yet is this one: The full list I'm thinking of running it in looks like this: It has the Probot to give the Asura some defense against other Hackers (and buff the Dakinis when they're on the offensive), and the Yadu NCO to make use of the extra LT order and clear the way for the Asura to move upfield and engage/claim objectives. Dart is in there too as a potent solo piece. I don't know what scenarios I'd play this in, but I'm excited to out the Asura on the table for the first time... She never made the cut in N3.
For me, its the Asuras. She seems great, but without smoke, I feel like she is missing out in OSS. Also, my Haris is usually half the points of my army. I think I might have better luck dropping her out and going with Yadus, or dropping the Harris and just using the Asruras as a solo piece.
Well maybe deva sensor better there. So idea is sense the camo, use hacker etc. I want to use asuras so much but they still seem not enough to take the place of dakinis' hammering power. I would prefer asura alone too. When ever i take asura, i find Myself using orders on dakinis instead.
I tried this yesterday, it was great, parvati is really a good midfield specialist for this hari ! She healed three times the yadu :)
Sensor Deva seems redundant in a Haris with the Asura since the Asura's MSV3 automatically passes discover rolls. But it certainly has value in a Yadu or pure Deva haris.
Sensor Deva + NCO HMG Yadu + Parvati, only hack they can suffer is the Marked state (none are hackable), I have short range heavy burst with AP/Shock (Parvati, final B5), a Deva able to Triangulate Fire if needed and Discover with a base 21, and the Yadu can use the 1-2 Lt orders, has an HMG, and all units in the Haris can be healed after suffering 1 wound/str damage.
Do you ever use that Deva as the LT? I keep thinking that they'd be too vulnerable in an aggressive harris like that, where the deva is definitely the weakest link.
I see no reason to, unless forced by the rest of the list. Ideally, you'd try to have the Asura Lt2, but that's meh because you would go for a Limited Insertion list, meaning the 2 lt orders would compensate your losing 2 orders at start, and the moment you place 2 lt orders on the table the Lt is revealed. However, the Deva + devabot is a great defender against DA/Parachutist troops (double template, or sup. fire + template, etc...) and can be the defensive Lt (and you can use the order further down the line if needed)
My thoughts: Pavarti is almost needed as she is the only way to get a doctor in there and she is an engineer as well. Yadu are nice for the HRL which is the only one I think is costed reasonably, I find the HMG is not as useful because of running into armor in cover Deva are there if you want to make it cheaper or add msv 2 to it Rudra and Samekh, I would skip it here and put it in a dakini core Asura, if you want to run heavy infantry go for it I am just not sure it is worth the points in the haris (minimum of 109 for a spitfire asura and 2 devas) Trisha N33 is a model I loved and used in N3, she can be worth her points in a dakini core but skip on her in a haris as they tend to be wounds. 2 yadu HRL and Pavarti is a haris I am thinking of trying out.
