Technically the Aleph/OSSSSS Action Pack is Operation Coldfront & Beyond Coldfront repack. I do wonder what will happen to the HMG Hac Tao, maybe he'll be in Booster Beta
Okay the repacks are boring, but C1 so I guess they are okay. Strange configuration though. The Nomads are mine. I love the Grenzeress pose and like the Cheerkillers! Hakwood looks good, but I don´t need him now. WC is not very tempting without Alpeh. Apart from the Killers no essential new units here. WB and SWF are still missing essential units!
I feel like Hawkwood, at least, is somewhat essential for his sectorial. Other than the Cheerkillers box, the Jayth is the only new unit - it’s a very repack-heavy month. You might not consider that Jayth essential, but I’m more likely to pick it up than the December combo-pack for Combined.
Damn you CB and your success at getting my money... Going to get the jayth. And I am a little in love with taighas since the first time I used one It berserked a myrmid officer who was the opponents Leutnant to death. MVP!
Isn’t it a bit cynical putting the taigha creature in with the Jayth? seems like packing an essential unit with a unit most people think is trash . Furthermore , making you buy two jayth for each taigha? They are ava 6 aren’t they? that seems a bit fucky to me. Nice models though, so there is that. am i missing something with this?
Little known fact (at least looks like it) - Jayth actually have a profile with a Peripheral Taigha called Jayth Pit Patrol. Just like Oznat with a pet Preta.
AVA 8 in SEF and AVA 4 in vanilla. And I have to contradict your opinion. The Jayth are may be expensive but very useful. The Haris with the Red Fury is devastating. But this is of course my personal opinion. I see that they are hard to handle. But if you get them into a good position you can hit your opponent hard. In my playtesting the were very useful. It also depends on the terrain. They are very useful in close combat and their MSV is for many situation useful to hit your opponent covered in smoke. But I think this should be discussed in the Jayth thread. More interesting is your indirect question whether we get a box with 4 Taigha creatures in addition. I hope so. I need this evil little creatures O.o
In Defiance we get a double set of 1 Jayth + 3 Taigha, so I'd expect a box, yeah. EDIT: I don't remember the Jayth sculpts btw
Not sure what base they're on, but there's also the Scenery Pack Taigha Breachers in Defiance that can be used in a pinch. :)
The upcoming Jayth + Taigha blister also has an extra mechanical module on the back of the Taigha. It's modified to indicate that it's the synced one instead of a standard irregular warband.
