I think you cant put more than 1 Mate or bomb on a model Regardless I want to try out n4 Tohaa. I was a Dan of the taquel in n3 but now He seems way better being able to go into a triad
Overall I'm pretty happy and can't wait to play with the Gorgos! It would have been nice to have some of the Spiral profiles for the Taagma etc. I also find it weird though that they buffed Taqeul so much when it doesn't have a model (and Tohaa is still cancelled...). The spec ops (with hooded head option) is what I use.
I think Tohaa is more flexible than Spiral now. Not sure I can go as far as saying more powerful. The advantages of spiral are, from what I can see: -Kriigel smoker -All the good taagma profiles -some extra kiutaan profiles, though jaan is proabably as good here -helots? -special fireteam Kaauri/kiel saan In exchange Tohaa get Makauls, sakiel, the shiny upgraded taquel and more.
Tohaa were and probably are far more powerful than Spiral Corps. I'd argue you don't need anything you listed with Tohaa and you don't care about anything but some of the Taagma profiles. You do get, however, some of the best WBs in the game in Makauls, access to good HMG profiles, more versatile long range ARO choices (Nikoul, Gao-Rael, Clipsos), a Libertos and many, many more things.
Losing the Taagma and Kriigel profiles definitely hurts though. The Nikoul is a a poor replacement for the Sniper (especially in its cheap Chaksa Link) and the only source of Smoke is the Kerail. To me, Spiral seems to want 1 aggressive Triad, 1-2 defensive ones, and solo pieces. Tohaa tends to be more about 2-3 offensive Triads + cheerleaders + solo pieces. Spiral throws down stuff like Kriigel smoke + Reex and Taagma Sniper + Chaksa for dirt cheap and has a ton of points to spend on what they actually want to take (and Helots for even more cheap orders) whereas Tohaa runs 3 roughly equal Triads that can swap members around, pick different engagement ranges, and be adaptable, but can’t afford to run all the cool solo stuff. Jaan + E/M Mine Kiiutan, Taagma Triad, Kaauri Paramedic... there’s quite a few things that keeps Spiral unique IMO.
Sukeuls, Makauls, Taqeul and 2 Kaeltars are the really big points for Tohaa, IMO. Spiral's biggest advantage is Tricore, by a huge margin. I don't think any other army has a mechanic that is so necessary and so defining for how it plays.

While that looks hilarious, unless you plan to deploy Jaan outside marker state you actually only have 3 carriers for your 4 Symbiomates. Could downgrade one of the Kaeltar to the 15 point version, throw a Bomb on the Gorgos, Swap the Taquel to the Command Token version and upgrade the Chaksa to, say, a Clipsos. Like so: gyEFdG9oYWEBIIEsAQEKAYMhAYwkAAKCzwEBAAOCjQECAASDFgGL3gAFgs8BBAAGgo0BAgAHhhcBAgAIgsMBAwAJhhIBAQAKgowBBgA=
The Forum has said that you can activate IMP-2 now, so yeah, that was the plan, place Jaan as a model, hold a Kaeltar back, give the 'Mate and then enable the IMP-2 in my first Active. If I swapped one Kaeltar for the 15 pts variant, I'd drop the Chaksa and for the remaining pts get myself either Aida Swanson or a Viral Combi / Combi+LRL Sakiel. However, the added value of the CoC Kaeltars are them being Specialists (and Gorgos pilot is my last resort one). ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 10 1 2 TAQEUL (Lieutenant [+1 Order]) Viral Combi Rifle, Nanopulser, Pheroware Tactics: Endgame, Pheroware Tactics: Mirrorball / Pistol, CC Weapon. guys do you really like the gorgos? its a tag that cant be repaired, but its hackable and very expensive in my opinion
> Expensive 67 points for a 4-wound BS 14 AP Spitfire with 7 ARM and 9 BTS seems pretty cheap to me...
It has a great sculpt and is a big "shiny" toy that was virtually unplayable before N4. Tohaa players, too, want to get to field their big stuff from time to time. I still don't think that the Gorgos is a good choice when playing competitively but then again, who does that in times of all TTS Tournaments? It's way cheaper now and I am inclined to test it again, though I won't expect too much.
