He definitely brings nice advantages too, It's a choice of either tacaware and specialist who can fix Achilles up in case he gets hack or stuck with glue, or a eclipse grenade dispenser who's still hella scary when the golden boy falls.
The only advantage I can think of over an X-Visor in a MSV2 troop is simply shooting to a melee... Alke also is one of the few MULTI rifle (and the cheapest), and the only one with +1Dmg. Thorakitai... now they are a little too broken, "compensated" with an AVA 6. 4 Light Rocket Launcher can be scary if we can move them closer to the center of the table. Mk12 Agema is now clearly the chosen one (X visor gives him more reach than it would seem). Instead of the ML, use Teucer. Instead of Sniper, use Atalanta. Dactyl Doctor + Thrasymedes + Hyppolyta for example
Nice little composition there. Same points as the all time classic Machaon-Phoenix-Chainmidon-greek-yoghurt-of-doom linkteam, but of course for less CAP. Never been a fan of Hyppolita for SP, since she's another frenzied and elusive CC monster in a sectorial full of frenzied and elusive CC monsters... but the impetuous eclipse grenade is nice. Goes well with the redhead with the bike or the big man with the hammer. A shame, really. They have a clean profile, not too bloated and yet... I wouldn't pick one of these guys instead of a character. If they had shock immunity, maybe, and if they had Enomotarchos you would probably see one of them with the wildcards. For now, they will stay at the shelves (with the missile launcher being my occasional Mk. 4 proxy).
