Was the mechanized deployment unit just completely scrapped?

That was not part of QK, but it looks like the Halqa are officially gone. Even from Vanilla.

Well, they could be represented nowadays as Ghulam profiles with Forward Deployment +12", although most Mechanized Deplyment units of old are actually FD +8". Apart from one or two profiles, Mechanized Deplyment was the sole difference between the Halqa and Ghulam...

Then again, we may yet see them (as themselves, or as Ghulam FD profiles) once the Gabqar Khanate sectorial army gets released. Some day in the far future.

I'm mostly Vanilla player, yet I used QK from time to time and I'm rather happy with the changes. I didn't have high hopes for Hafza for example and didn't want them to get more expensive with some not to good buffs, so I don't mind they didn't get new rules.
I'm really glad that Djans got AP Sniper with Shock, that's something that I wanted for Zhayedan ;)
Still it's great to see it on Djan. And Regeneration on 13 as something that we don't have to pay orders for? Yes please! :)
    Sekbans with NCO - nice.

But the biggest thing I was wondering was the fatties ;) And AzRa'ils are different that I wanted, because I simply wanted cheap, tough big guns, and got REALLY big guns :D That's definitely interesting. I wrote about it more here:
    https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/azrail-the-exterminator.38550/

One thing I miss about them is the lack of Courage - such big guys shouldn't lie down after being hit by a fly ;)

Is it me or in all sectorials they seem the same at least the haqqislam, I say this because it seems that playing leila, rouhani and yara is an obligation to lower the points of all the links, it is like always playing the sameTEAM A in all the games because others things cost a lot.

All the lists looks the same to me Core link with 1 or 2 units for example Djanbazan or zeyedan etc... with the TEAM A with them... it's a little bit boring. And if you think of playing 4 or 5 djanbazan the cost in points it's ridiculous high.

With the 15 order list, ALL LIST look the same and he game tends to be boring.

It's my feeling about the game in general, because I play haqqisalm.... faccions like aleph, pano, yu jin, CA don't feel this because they were playing 15 order list before...

Did Ghulam have Cubes back in N3? I can't remember.
I'm pretty sure that back in 1/2ed they did not...

As a QK player, I wanna tell first that I am pleased with the profiles. It has been better and stronger with N4 rules and also revision made.

    1. Alguaciles: when you need points reduction and still need Ghulam Link, here you have them. Thanks
    2. Ghulams: everything is same, plus a Lieutenant with additional command token? Yes, please! Panzerfaust with number 2 is only +2 points. Thanks CB. [emoji1303]
    3. Bashibazouks: thanks to N4 rules. Can enter the battle from wherever they want. And specialist profile is good in N4 supplies, as you don’t have roll. [emoji108]
    4. Hafzas: same. But why not commanding skills when a regular Ghulam has? [emoji2371]
    5. Najjarun: Seems somebody forgot to bring deactivator at home. [emoji85]
    6. Djanbazans: Thanks to N4. Regeneration is strong with these troops [emoji1377] But, why don’t you let one Djan to join Ghulams like Veterans to Kazaks or Minutemen to Grunts?
    7. Sekbans: same except rocks if up to 2 can join any team. (As statement above)
    8. Mobil Brigadas: they seem same as before. No reason to be taken over Janissaries.
    9. Azrail: yes yes yes. Killing machine! But still there’s something is missing. Look at Kriza Boracs, Mowangs, Ratniks. After this hype passes, it will return to shelves. It needs one of these; MSV1, mimetism (3), NCO, Tactical awareness, ECM, etc. please don’t lynch me!
    10. Scarface: it rocks, it simply rocks. Thanks CB [emoji7]
    11. Remotes: can we please have options for forward deployment (8”) or mimetism (6), any extra?
    12. Yuan Yuan: Thanks to N4, I can hold my AD troops before support jump. [emoji573] would be too much to ask for re-roll booty?
    13. Hawwas: same as before. Any extras please? Mines, repeaters, etc.

They didn't in N2 and gained them in N3. I'm guessing that they became more liberal over time. :D

Blah, blah, blah, blah. Thoughts and notions without a lick of gameplay to test any of it in the last 12 hours? I've had like half a dozen games of any sectorial. Ever.

The overall feel of Qapu Khalqi seems bland to me. I'm not sure what that is since I like a goodly portion of the models. Maybe this is just me and the concept and delivery is entire on point. So most of this is me musing out loud to myself to try to articulate things to myself. Assuming the issues with Army/Sectorial Chart get ironed out.
Bashi Bozouks: I think these are my go-to over the Yuan Yuan for disruption and back field tomfoolery. They even have a specialist operative and you get to lieholomask about the load out when you parachute them in. :/
Corregidor Alguaciles: Booooooring. I've never been so desperate to shave a couple points (AVA 4?). I'm saddened that they weren't a more interesting choice for me.
Hafza: Like everyone else, super sad they don't remotely resemble their background material. Ah well, they are clearly irregular force multipliers through deception. The forward observer and the heavy rocket launcher are very appealing for vanilla play.
Djanbazan Tactical Group: One of my old shady favorites. The regeneration is nicer now, and the sniper done good to get the AP sniper rifle. The hacker and doctor still have potential in my book for more elite lists.
Sekban: After mulling it over a bit today, these guys are more like what the Hafza should have ended up. No longer am I likely to field a fire team of Sekban, but I will scatter them about so that the NCO ability and solitary Lieutenant Order can be used as the opportunity presents itself. I'm disappointed that the heavy rocket launcher guy misplaced his assault pistol though.
Mobile Brigada: I'm puzzling over this guy. Janissary are generally better, unless I'm desperate for a solo guy to run around and shoot stuff? He'd seem to edge out the Janissary for this particular role.
Azra'il: Everyone is fixiated on the guns. I'd rather the points have gone into something other than continous damage. It seems clearly an attempt to keep their point costs up.

    More pondering to do.

A couple nice surprises but definitely not as bold with the wildcards as people were hoping. Let’s hope they fix the Sekban wildcard omission soon. I feel like wildcarding a competent bs13 arm3 spitfire or HRL into a ghulam core (or faking it with Hafza) will be a great upgrade and let us get the most out of our beloved NCO smoke grenade launcher without defaulting to a solely utility ghulam core.

Hybrid Djanbazan/sekban links with mov 4-4 look pretty tasty too

Also liking an unlinked janissary doc with a little nasmat buddy backing up the new and improved Azrail for that sweet sweet 2 wound doc with cube reroll goodness.

Here I thought the Janissary with tinbot, Janissary with HMG, and Sekban doctor would be the way to go. :)

That’s also a tasty little trio. Discounted arm3 doctor+ with NCO fits in very nicely here.

I’m looking at those Druze hacker+pitcher combos and thinking, damn I could use you in a ghulam link.

And c’mon, is a Hafza with No2 too much to ask? :D Such a nice cushion for our HMG frontmen

IMO backing an Azra'il with a Janissary Akbar Doc was pretty much the thing to do, even back in N3. If you could afford that, of course.

However, finding a suitable Duo partner for an Azra'il is more of a challenge. Definitely it shouldn't be a Doc, as this ties your Doc to the Azra'il, rather than allowing the medic to operate for the benefit of the whole list - eg. via a pair of Nasmats. The more I look at it, the more an Odalisque - in a short-range-geared loadout - seems to be the right choice there.

My usual HI Duo partner is a hacker (leila), just to protect the big boy from other hackers and be a specialist. But I'm looking at the Rafiq FTO. The repeater allows remote hacker to defend the HI, It's a specialist. I find sensors\triangulated fire a little situational, but it has its uses.

Well, the sniper got a lot cheaper and is a Minelayer too, now. Not that frilling but I think this should expand the use of the unit in QK and vanilla.

I love playing Al'hawwa and in the new hacking game of N4, I like it even better than before.

I also enjoy the opportunity to do a Jannissary haris now in N4.

    do you look them carefully?
MB now get 5 ARM 3 BTS MULTI+Flamer. & of course 6-2 move.
Jannissarie 4 ARM 6 BTS, AP + Shotguns. still 4-4.
this one difference in ARM & move still makes single MB more profitable as a single breakout trooper.
Lt options of course failed now cause of WiP open info.
