The details are chunkier but that's a given. The arm post is the alt arm you get with Luxumbra. The weapon is almost entirely different, but I don't mind it. However, I'm really worried about Margot's face, to be honest. It's a small sculpt, but the render is... well, not flattering.

Also, why are her legs that much shorter and her head so big? Something is off here. It's still a great mini, but damn, I love the Luxumbra original even more now.

proportional changes are probably just due to the 28mm scale. a smaller figure means the parts that actually give the figure character, like the head, boots, weapon are a tad larger

OK, yes, pose changed, and some details too, like tiniest straps. But kneepad and shinpad still have 3 holes each side without much size change. Head size could be related to "camera", as the render uses separate models, so there should be part of each base in the middle, requiring "lens" adjustments.

More similar take for better comparison.

The fur seems to have same number of strands, similar teeth detail too. The metal minis will be around half size, depending how 75mm, 28mm (or 32mm) were "interpreted". This is how they would look, give or take:

Scale the image (or resize the window) so the base fits under a 25mm plastic one, that should be right (even if the resin is not).

It is, because it’s massively cringeworthy.

Why does Duroc the doggo have extra dew claws on his feet?

    OSS says hello.

Dewclaws are the extra claws that many animals have that aren't in the main toe pad area.

It's the one labeled "D" in this photo.

I dunno, I'm not a dog expert, and I'm definitely not a human-antipode hybrid expert.

Dogs do not normally have dewclaws on their hind paws, only their front paws, but it is possible to have hind dewclaws. However, just as there are humans with polydactyly ( more than four fingers and 1 thumb, or more than 5 toes on a given limb) there are dogs that have polydactyly too. It's a genetic variant, not often seen, but it happens. Duroc's hind dewclaws make him unusual. Apart from the fact that he is a mutant space werewolf.

All the Antipodes and modern style Doggos have hind dewclaws, I think we can put this down to them being an alien species from a near-earth planet and not actually being descended from terrestrial canids.

Is it just me, or does that Margot have the same weird facial issues as the Casanova sculpt? There’s something similar about the way they’re both done, and the Casanova sculpt basically killed that box for me since I don’t play Combined—especially after how good Casanova’s 2d illustration looked. Duroc still looks great, but I’m starting to get the impression that one of the CB digital sculptors needs to spend time studying the style of facial and cloth modeling used on their other digital sculpts. I love CB’s models for their subtle detailing; Casanova’s sculpt has a bizarrely pronounced pants zipper and the sculpted-in texture on his vest is sort of weirdly deeply cut. I’m a little bit concerned that CB is starting to let the quality control on the original sculpts slip into chonky detail and lumpy face territory.

You're definitely on to something here. Putting aside the change of Casanova's saber to a katana, the cloth folds on his crotch area are definitely weird not to mention that zipper that doesn't fold with the rest of the cloth like it's some sort of harder material. His mouth is also wide in proportions to his cheekbones which unbalances his face.

On Margot, I don't have a problem with the legs. The height on this models legs are honestly better, while the Luxumbra version uses 90's comics proportions somewhat to exaggerate form. Her face, however, does feel off. I think they placed the jawbone too low making her face look a tad wide and childish, and the brow a bit too high to sell the pensive/angry expression. The pose also doesn't work as well with the face as in the Luxumbra version where her head is tilted and body language is less open. Also not a massive fan of how her firearm just ends in two massive cylinders.

I'm massively excited about Equipe Mirage 5, and have been considering Kosmoflot just because of these two. That said, I have to agree that Margot looks kind of derpy in this render. The transition hasn't been kind to her proportions; she's too chunky and wide, especially her jaws, chestplate, and hips.

I'm consciously trying to compare her with other 28mm Infinity models instead of the Luxumbra statue since I obviously expected some detail to be lost, but still. Margot looks dumpy here compared to most other female sculpts in the range.

I'll reserve final judgment until I see her painted since a good paint job can go a very long way - and even after that, will hold onto hope that it'll look better when I have the sculpt in my hands - but I'm not as excited about Margot as I would like. Usually these CG render previews have me frothing at the mouth, but Margot here kind of made me go 'eh, I guess that's good enough'.

    Duroc looks incredible, however.

I have to remind that renders are a bit chunkier/ more pronounced in details because metal shrinks.
